I didn't disconnect the battery when swapping the TPS, but i did change the two fasteners (not as easy as i thought it would be, lol) with new ones and torque them to spec.

check to se maybe you left some vacuum line unplugged... i dont know???? huh?
I cleaned my air filter twice...the first time i think i over oiled it, but not really that bad. Not enough to contaminate the O2's, at least i wouldn't think so. I just re-cleaned it for safe measure. I've thought about it a lot, and i'm pretty sure that the idle has very slowly and gradually worsened over time. I was hoping it was the TPS failing, as STLWagon suggested, but it appears that's not the case. I'm about to return it to stock and take it in to the dealer,i just need the one time use bolt to fasten the stock crank pulley back on. If only dealers were mod friendly....

by the way, my mods are: TI intake and X-Cal II tune, FRPP CMDP's, Motoblue UDP's and Pypes mid-pipe cat back.

think the dealer would put up a fuss if I left the UDP's on?

Probably wouldn't even notice. However, if you return to stock the CMCV delete plates are going to cause you to throw a DTC.

The stock tune will cause a DTC. It will run ok, but you'll get the little yellow light.

with an unsteady idle which is what happened to me it could just be your iac valve which is what caused mine, just a thought

There is no idle air control valve on the 2005+ Mustang GT. It's built-in to the throttle actuator on the drive-by-wire system.

Well its been to the dealer twice now. First time they changed the MAF. I drove it for a week but the problem persisted, so I took it back and they changed the entire intake and throttle body. still won't idle right. I still have the Motoblue's on there. Is it possible they were installed incorrectly? Does anyone think that could be a variable here?

+1... They should perform both a resistance and a leakdown test on the injectors.

Yeah, I think they should also run a vacuum test to see how much vacuum the engine is steadily pulling or if the needle jumps around on the vacuum gauge. It did sound like it was a dirty MAF at first though.

Check the sensor on the left side of the intake. Mine came loose after I installed a C&L intake. I got the check engine light, and a check with my Diablo Sport Predator showed a lean fuel condition. After putting the sensor back on, I returned my car to stock, then retuned for the intake. This removed the check engine. Also, a vacuum leak causes the idle to go up and down.

Your MAF sensor came loose?
