I think that there site hasn't been updated lately. I just was on there site and all 4 sets require springs now. Check it out.

will i need a lower rear end gear with the stage 3 i have 3 55's and a manual
trans ? or will i be able to control it more with the manual
trans ?

You can run the Stage 3s with the stock gears.

the 3.55 will work, it won't have the jump off the line like the 4.10s do but they will work.

I looked the other day and they deleted that statement out and list the springs at the bottom of the 3V section

Stage IIIs by themselves are good for about 30 +/-. Idle is a little lopey but not terrible.

The springs are still the weak point. I would not change a cam without new springs & retainers.
