I think that there site hasn't been updated lately. I just was on there site and all 4 sets require springs now. Check it out.

will i need a lower rear end gear with the stage 3 i have 3 55's and a manual trans ? or will i be able to control it more with the manual trans?

You can run the Stage 3s with the stock gears.

the 3.55 will work, it won't have the jump off the line like the 4.10s do but they will work.

I looked the other day and they deleted that statement out and list the springs at the bottom of the 3V section

what kind of power should they make and how is the idle?

Stage IIIs by themselves are good for about 30 +/-. Idle is a little lopey but not terrible.

The springs are still the weak point. I would not change a cam without new springs & retainers.
