I am selling my Mustang so if your interested, I can sell my intake for $175.00 It has less than 1,000 miles of use. I live just over the hill from you in Yorba Linda.
No buying/selling in the forums... Take it offline. Thanks.

Adding a cold air intake voids the warranty?

hey so the AEM does not require a tuner? but it would work better if it had one?

Not automatically, but it can void a claim if the failure of another part can be tied to the installation of the CAI. You should read up on the Magnuson Moss Act.

Yes, you should have a tuner for it... There are only a few that are true 'no tune required'. Those are the Airraid, K&N, and C&L with insert.

plus its CA legal(smog, C.A.R.B)
diablosports arent legal here i wish it was cuz thats the only one i want!!

Ok hold on there stlwagon, I have learned not to question your mass knowledge but I have been looking at a C&L for a long time and they say as follows:

"When you purchase our complete air intake upgrade, you will receive everything to replace the entire air intake assembly from the throttle body forward. This includes V6 specific C&L Trueflow air inlet tube with hoses/clamps/fittings, an upgrade mm CNC machined aluminum mass airflow housing, conical air filter assembly, filter shroud assembly, installation tool and instructions. When installing this or ANY aftermarket air intake upgrade that replaces the factory air filter and meter assembly, you must make the necessary tuning adjustments to your computer. If not, your air/fuel ratio will run considerably leaner than stock and the vehicle will not operate properly, causing undesirable driving conditions."

Now I did notice you also said with insert. What does this mean?

so does anyone know of a good intake that gives alota power without a tune?
I just bought the Airaid which does not need a tune AND later when you get money you can take out the venturi air tube for a tune and more hp.C&L also has one that will do the same. With a tune you will get a lot more power.

Default Air intakes

I have a Roush CAI and didn't notice much if any difference. Roush does have a insert tube with the kit that has to be left in till I have the car flash tuned for the upgrade I am probably going to see some difference once I get this done. I hope LOL or it was a wast of money. Does look good in my opinion. They stick with a more OE look which is more to my taste just don't like all the chrome and stuff.

I had an 04 and bought a bbk CAI. I didn't have to take anything out or change anything and I never got a tune with it. I have been reading and reading and reading this C&L page for EVER dreaming of the day I can get it. The only thing that has stopped me so far is that I need a tuner with it, and I have been buying everything I need for my dual pipes going in too. The cost with the tuner is like $600 and I don't have that all at once to spend it goes to bills and stuff. So what is this venturi tube that you are talking about and do you have a picture of it?
