after careful consideration i decided the bama 93 oct race tune would be a good buy...but i have no clue what to do to buy it. i talked to douglass studdard a little via e mail and he sent me a few links but im still confused. can someone give me a walk through on how to get the tune from him to my car? hopefully its an easy ? but im just not the best with computers, theyre too frustrating. Also, i have the SCT livewire tuner and the usb cable it came with, but ive never used it to update or anything of tha tmatter before. thanks for the help and id also liek to hear some reports on what im buyin, so if you have the tune lmk wat u think!

This is the e-mail he gave me, lemme know if this helps or if you are still confused and im sure me or whoever else replys can help you
"Please go to SCT Flash Devices - MORE Power . . . Period! and then select the " X3 Flash Device" from the Drop down menu. Once you are here download the " X3 Updater Software " . Once you have this software downloaded and installed connect the X3 to your PC using a standard A-B type usb cable, like that for a printer, and then open the X3 Updater software. Once you have this opened select the button marked " Live Load Tunes" . From there simply hit the Browse button and locate the file(s) that from this email that you have saved in a folder. Then select the file and choose a location to install the file by moving the black dot from File positions 1-3. You must have a file in the previous location to put a file above it, for example you must have a file in position 1 before you load a file in position 2. Be sure to move the black dot from different file locations when you are loading more than one tune. Then press the "program" button, you will need to repeat the steps above for each tune file you wish to load. If you would like more information on the X3 please goto this link and download the complete instruction manual."
Looks like he did a pretty good job of explaining it in the email. The files your supposed to browse for are the tunes. He'll send you an email with the tunes as an attachment. Click on the attachment (paperclip symbol) and save the tune files to your hard drive then follow his directions.
What he's telling you to do in the the email is to download the software from SCT and install it on your computer. This software, which runs in windows, lets you pick and choose which tunes to copy from your hard drive to the storage slots in your tuner.
Once you have the tunes in your tuner, go to your car and plug the tuner in with the key in the OFF position. Follow the onscreen instructions from there. When it asks if you want to change any of the default settings...SAY NO. That part of the tune upload is if you want to change settings that he already set up for you. Don't mess with them.
You'll absolutely love the race tune. It's by far his best tune.

Basically you want to go to this link to purchase the V6 Race tune and fill out the form on the page if you haven't done it already, then click "Add this to my cart". You'll have to fill out a registration page after that and you may want to get a Paypal account if you don't have one. Probably alot to throw at you if you're not good with computers but feel free to post more questions.

You'll also need the 4 digit PCM calibration code from a small white sticker on your PCM. PCM is the silver box mounted vertically between the fuse box and the passenger valve cover.
kk...thanks so far. Im lookin at the software installation right now. I definately got the pcm, tire size and everything else besides the axle code. i looked on the white tag on my door and it says axle with BG under it. is that it? I can't link to it directly but on this page select your Livewire from the drop down and then select Device Update Software to download the program. You'll also need to separately download the Windows Device Driver.
