Thumbs up FRPP exhaust install - Thanks!

Well I installed my FRPP exhaust this last weekend. It sounds AWESOME. Thanks for everyone's input during this process. It helped a lot. I highly recommend this setup. Excellent quality. Excellent sound. Fairly easy install if you have some experience working on cars.

I installed a set of the Ford Racing Duals with the "X" pipe and a set of GT take-offs and I noticed a difference right away. Both in performance and fuel economy. The installation was easy! The most complicated part of the installation was cutting the "Y" pipe. You have to measure 8 to 9 inches behind the converters and make the cut. Then simply slip on and attach the "X" pipe. The rest is a slip on "factory" installation. Now I'm over 50 so I'm not looking for an exhaust tone that will rattle windows and those GT mufflers are just right. There is absolutely no resonance at any speed and at cruise the interior noise is as quiet as the stock single exhaust. Yet it does have a sporty sound at idle. And, my gas milage has jumped to 33 mpg on the highway. I did it all in just a couple of hours for under $400.00!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I bought the exhaust system at V-6 Mustang Stuff and the kit comes with everything you need to install it.

what was story on the hangers? did you get it in the kit or from the dealer. did you have a hoist or able to do it on the ground. i just ordered my gt mufflers and am looking for the rest of the parts i need. stl told me the h pipe balances out the exaust, i guess the x pipe is about the same? i`m hoping i can do this myself in the garage.

Oh Yeah, you can do this in the garage. Just get yourself two sets of jackstands. Get the car up as far as you can so you can work. If you use a "sawsall" to cut the pipe like I did you're gonna need the room to move that baby around. And as far as the parts go, the kit comes with everything you'll need. I got mine at V-6 Mustang Stuff last spring. When I placed my order I got the GT "take off" mufflers too. The price has gone up some but it's still not a bad deal. No worries, you can do it!
