So it sounds like there are some big changes, especially under the hood, for the 2010 stang. If what I have heard is accurate, the V6 will now have the 3.5L ecoboost twin turbo engine. I hear she is capable of producing up to 415 hp?!? And they are giving the GT a 5.0L V8, which is supposedly estimated at 330-350 hp. I'm interested in everyone elses opinion here, but it just doesn't sound right to me to have a factory V6 putting out more power than the factory V8. Does anyone know of an estimate on what the cost of these v6's would be?
Also, what do you think of the styling? I saw a couple teaser pics of it, and I am skeptical. It looks more like an eclipse than a mustang to me...
All opinions appreciated...

Ive only seen a couple pics of the new stang but half of it is like covered up but i think it looks just like the current GT except for bumpers and head lights. And as far as the turbo V6 ive heard its supposed to put out some good power but i highly doubt anywhere around 400 hp, fromt he factory anyways. I dont think Ford would ever put out a stronger V6 cuz then why would anyone buy a V8 with less hp and worse gas mileage?? But i do like the idea of the new 5.0L V8, Ford has a lot of competition right now although out economy is int he sh** hole, but they need all the power they can get.

I may have read it wrong, but they make it sound like the v6 will be putting out the same if not more power than the v8, and that the prices will be roughly the same for the two...

I just talked to a Ford dealer and he told me V6 twin turbo will make around 300 hp and the 5.0L will go just over 400 hp. We dont know whose right or whose wrong till the official rating from Ford. BTW i dont like the tail light at all if i've seen it right, it very curvy

Anybody know when the 2010 stang is going to be revealed. I can't wait to see what it looks like. although it does not look that different from the 08, 09 models.

The v6 should still have better gas milage vs the 5.0 even if the v6 has more power. Because you can always turn down the psi on the turbos.

The 2010 Mustang will be revealed at the LA Auto Show on November 21st. After the show is over it will be available for ordering at Ford dealerships.
The ecoboost TTV6 may be the GT edition. Just because the TT is capable of 415hp doesn't mean it will come from the factory with 415hp. The turbo's probably will not be the most efficient anyway. I am actually looking forward to see what the V6 option is. Imagine a 3.5L TT making 400+hp from the factory. Think what it could do stroked and with better turbo's.
I think that the only way that the 5.0L will be useful in the new Mustang is if it is a 4v. Does the 3v 5.0L stroker make that much more power than a similar 4.6L 3v? Not really... I think that the new Mustang should come with a N/A 5.4L 3v or 4v and then the high end Cobra come with the 5.4L SC or 5.8L SC.
How is a TTV6 Mustang Rice??? Just because it is more powerful than your car is with a fully modded motor? I get so tired of listening to the rice comments. By that logic the Termi's would be rice since they are charged... We do not have a real "Muscle" car out right now, least of all the Mustang. lol I do not consider the Challenger a "Muscle" car. My friend has one and it is a nice cruising car but not overly fast for the power it comes with. Of course these are all just my opinions. lol
From what I have been reading around, the TT v6 is a GT option. So you have a choice of a TT v6 GT, or a 5.0 V8 GT. Personally, I would get the 5.0 V8 as the price of the TT v6 is going to be roughly the same and you get a much better base to work with.
It seems to me that if Ford were planning on outfitting their Mustang GT's with twin-turbo v6's then they're doing it in order to appear more economy-friendly.
Its illogical to think that if they're putting a v6 in the GT model that they'd come out with a 5.0 for the new cars, unless it was an option you have to special order.
If thats the case and they're stepping the GT down to a v6 then God only knows what they'll do with the base model Mustang.
::gasp:: 4cyl!?

I think the TT V6 is going to be a optional route that most probably would not take. Their for, I think the TT V6 GT is going to be rare and impractacal to stang enthusiast. I bet ford sees it this way too and if not, then I don't know why they would bother going to the 5.0 V8.
I seriously doubt the base modal will ever go down to 4cly.
If anything, I bet ford is looking for ways to improve the base modal performance more than it's MPG. Besides, who buys a stang with MPG on their criteria?

Could be just a plan v6. I couldnt see ford going anything smaller.
But like you said god only knows !

hey they just revealed the 2010 mustang on speed. I got to say I like how it looks although I'm not too thrilled with the rear end of the car. I suppose its not that bad.
all these new engine options sound awesome but when will they come out. if you goto Introducing the 2010 Ford Mustang | Ford Vehicles
you can download a order form for a 2010 but none of these new engines. they do offer different gear ratio's for the gt it looks like.also i really like the no cap fuel filler i wish i had that
The thing looks like an 05 that got stung by a bee. The interior is much nicer than the s197 and i like the idea of the 3.73 gear package but other than that I think it looks a bit awkward
