Are you still under warranty? I know many verts past and present are prone to leaks.
Try to locate the leak by drying it out then getting in it and having someone hose it down really good. Just to make sure that it wasn't a window partially open or something. If it still leaks I would move on to removing the seat, peeling the carpet back on that side and removing the trim pieces on the side that you suspect is leaking. After you've got all the pieces out get in it with a flashlight (even if its bright out) and have it hosed down really good again. This should tell the tale. Once you find the leak, fix it accordingly.
thanks 4 the reply , i got 60,000 mikes on it so the warranty is long gone but i bought a warranty 3 years or 36,000 miles but i'm not sure it covers that but i'll read the fine print. my windows were thight shut and i'm sure there were no visible holes on the top, so i'll do the things u suggested , but the funny part is the only place it was soaked is right on the back seat no where else it's like as if somebody poured a gallon of water on it.Hopefully we will find out soon.
This is a well documented problem. It's either leaking from the cowl, at the cabin filter, or around the wiring harness located in the passenger fenderwell. There is a TSB in our TSB sticky thread in the 2005+ GT tech section..
But if the seats are wet. It cant be coming from a low point. This is coming from a high point, so cabin filter, and anythiing around there is to low.

hey guys , i put 2 towels on the wet seat and it was raining the whole day so i found out that the top towel was dry and the bottom was soaked and i can c now the water is coming from the lower seat from the bottom, i'm gonna take out the lower seat and check where the water is coming. i checked the trunk it was dry.
yeah it was leakin from the back window , what do i need to seal it off without messing up the defroster, it was leaking from the lining where the coth and the glass meet .. i dunno wat its called , may b a glue will do the job??

Water under back seat after very hard rains 2" per hr
I live in New Orleans and we just had very heavy rains for 3 days, 2" per hour.
The back seat was wet and I heard sloshing water when I pushed on the middle of the drivers side back seat compartment, the upper section dry.
I took out the back sear (lower section) and the well just under the seat was fillled with water.
After searching fot the source of the water for about 2 hours and cleaning out the well just infront of the rear wheel, just under the rear small window by running water in this space with the water running out the weep holes under the car, if you have too much water, the water will not drain fast enough, the holing area fills up and over flows into the back seat well.
You also need to clean out this area to keep leaves and other trash that gets in there, that can plug up the weep holes.
This is a big problem if you leave your car out in very heavy rain.
