I recently purchased a 2007 Grabber Orange Mustang v6 with a black hood and black hood scoop. I love it, it seems really zippy as in it has good acceleration, but not good top end acceleration and h.p. I was wondering what would be the best things to realistically add to it (i.e. not a supercharger, I know that would be the best but it'll cost me alot of money) I want to keep it relatively cheap, I was thinking cold air intake, JET performance chip, throttle body spacer, glasspack muffler, and maybe later a high flow air sensor. That'll run me about 500 bucks. Have any suggestions? please tell

dual exaust
Cold air and a tuner not chip, that way u can change things, not have to send it back, dont get the TB spacer.
3.73's and a t loc

for just a little over that, around 550, you could get the jlt/sct/3 custom tunes deal. thats gonna make the biggest diff. the cheapest way out on the exaust would be to get some takeoff gt mufflers for 69.00 and put one on for now. with that stuff right there, your car will run like a different car. but beware, by that point you will be hooked on mods and the list will never end. so you might as well plan on having a steady "mod" bill Welcome to AFM and the forums

Avoid the Jet chip, its not a very good option. Stick with a tuner like SCT or Diablo. Many sites (Tillman, Brenspeed, Bamachips) offer combos with a Cai and tuner which are the biggest bang for your buck mods. An exhaust will really help things out alot too, gt takeoffs aren't too loud and are cheap, aftermarket brands are louder but offer close to the same hp gains. Top end is also helped out by a new coil and wires. Gears and tlok will really make acceration faster. Welcome to the site and do some reading on past threads.

adding to it everyday
first and foremost, Exhaust, whether it be dual or just a gt takeoff muffler
then a CAI/TUNE combo, its a must
followed by demon coil/livewires
then gears/tloc

Ok thanks, all of you, and keep postin. I've changed my mind on the TB spacer and JetChip. And i found pypes dual exhaust for 310 bucks w/o shipping etc. I found a C&L Intake and SCT XCalibrator 2 tune for $565, which is dynoed on v6's to give it 32 hp. That seems like an awesome deal, so I'm looking at that. And also the gears. I have an auto, and i've heard that 4.10's are the best for the auto, not the 3.73's. Any input on that? Thanks

4.10's good if u dont plan on supercharging down the road. Its a good gear thatll put u in the back of ur seat. . 3.73 norm are used by those who are F/I aka turbo or S/C Thatll be a huge difference much like ur CAI will. No Hp gains but ull feel the new TQ on the gears. ENJOY ur new money sponge

WHIPPLE S/C being installed this weekend! Hello 450rwhp!
Except for the dual exhaust. You will not get any more performance increase then from a good single muffler or a GT take off.
this is true. however, i would never want to not have dual exaust again. it might make a slight difference, not that you could notice. but it looks great, sounds great, that alone makes it worth the money imo. ( i love showing off the dual, and i get alot of compliments and people wondering what i`m running) crap, my pic didnt upload

Just curious,Where did you find the C&L tune combo that claims 32 more HP for the V6? That might be the V8 HP numbers. Also I would go with the X-CAL 3 not the X-CAL 2.The 3.73 gears work just fine in the auto's.Have fun modding your car and welcome to the forums.
