I am not sure about others but a tuner will cost you up to $400.

Why the rails and injectors? Are you turbo or supercharging?

i would forget about the injectors and the fuel rails and get a cai/ sct tuner/ custom tune package. that will wake the car up. i got a jlt cai/sctx3/3 tunes package from tillman speed for around 550.00. the guy to talk to, chris rose, will be out of town this next week, but he`ll be back...

well i plan on getting my air and fuel ratio up to par. there's a shop in jacksonville Fl called Hp Performance the first shop to twin turbo and build a ford gt.The main guy is Tony and he said he would Tune and dyno for 300-400 and that if i needed my factory tune i could just come back to him for it for free.

a handheld tuner, like the sxtx3 or the sctsf will store your factory tune in it and lock that device to your car first time you use it.it gives you the options to change from a race tune, to a performance tune, to different octanes of fuel with the push of a couple buttons, which is very handy. the guys that write the custom tunes dyno thousands of cars with every add on part there is, and unless you adding a ton of stuff, a dyno tune would not get you much more than a cusom tune, if any.so for 3-400 what do you really have? also as you add more stuff, they can adjust your custom tunes. your fuel mixtures are controlled by your computer, which are controlled with your tune.adding more fuel without more air gets you no where. a dyno tune is a cool thing, but for the most bang for your buck, you would be better off with the cai package. the cai will bring in a bunch more air, which is what you want, and the fuel can be adjusted with the tune. thats why your best performing cai`s require a tune to install them. and then theres the"what goes in, must come out", hows your exaust set up?

so you got the exaust squared away. its your money is the bottom line. i`m sure tony is a great guy. most dyno guys are. i would think he would tell you to get a cai before the dyno tune. ( do you have a cai or is he including one in that price?) i think most guys would get all their mods together first, then spend the money on a dyno tune to see if they can tweek the tune any more. you can get a little more power out of the high voltage coil and better wires too.

ya, it will add some performance. you dont need a tune to add it, but they can account for it in writing a custom tune. if your happy with the cai you have thats cool. i still think if it was me, i would buy the flash tuner and custom tunes. they can take the mods you have and make them perform at the best. and you have your stock tune if you ever need it. then get the dyno tune and see if they can do any better. i like having options and thats alot of cash for just one tune. you should have mentioned in your first post you had some mods. these are just my opinions, i`m by no means a expert mechanic.

i`m sure those wires would be fine. of course they recomend the live wires with the demon coil, they are 8.5mm and with the sleeve they put on them makes them 10mm. they offer that price break if your buy the package, coil and live wires its like 168.00 or so.
