dont know much but waht I ve read on other furums:

1) need custom install
2) need protective coating
3) sound really good on V6
4) dont know about power gain

You will also need a tune for them, as well you need to either relocate the cats or remove them all together.

when i do this im gonna just screw it take out the cats throw a h pipe and flowmaster 40 series on there good or bad?

the better thing to do is probably move the cats. But I have seen a video on youtube put out by Kooks headers that showcases their longtube headers and aftermarket cats with flowmaster mufflers dual setup. It sounds like crap. It may just be their high flow cats, but it sounded horrible.
Make your own decision though. Maybe the right combination of cats and mufflers won't sound too bad.

Not true. You don't NEED a tune but it would help. Right now I'm throwing a CEL because I don't have the rear 02's but it doesn't bother me.

I just installed my Pacesetter LT's this week and it was a major PIA. The hardes part was getting the studs out of the engine block and I ended up breaking over half of them. You need to remove them because you will need to clearance to get the headers into place.


Now for the good, I have felt a noticeable increase in down low torque from my butt dyno. As for the sound, they sound good at WOT with my stock GT mufflers but sound like a trumpet at WOT. No biggie, I just need to get some different mufflers.
