hahahaha, you guys kill me...I thought I was the only one having such problems...I feel much better now....

it is a good thing that our wives dont know about this forrum...b/c we would be in a lot of trouble....i'd feel sorry for you billcougnut...lol...she would take you to the cleaners.....

I would say what has worked for me is how we explain things to her..you see you got be smart about things..women are kind sinical when it comes time to mod...saying things like what for? that is childish? you ruined it? how much???..

try explaining it in detailed words that she can understand like:
lower suspension- helps the car corner better
spoliers - helps aerodynamics, reduces wind drag
tuners - great gas milleage, easier to pass cars when needed
big wheel/tire - easier to get in/out of the car b/c of new height
short shifter - easier to shift
intake/exhaust upgrades - helps the engine breath better

and words never to be used are:
looks cool
runs a lot faster
spends more gas
cost a little bit more - not much
b/c i like it
sounds louder
not covered in warranty

and just remember, sooner or later she will find out so be ready to explain...

i have been dating my g/f now for about 6mths. she has been after me for around 6yrs. lol i finally gave in. she already knew how i was with cars and toys for them. she says that "as long as you have the money to pay the bills, you can get what you want". lucky me. lol i just ordered in a mmr intake with the heat shield this past friday. well i told her and she just said ok and ask if the bill were paid, yes, soooooo she get on the ph sunday and orders in a new dell laptop. lmao

the moral of the story. no matter what you stand to gain, be prepaird to lose. j/k she is cool. i am trying to get her to drive at the auto X with me. she's almost there.

My wife has her own "hobbies" that cost ME a TON of money, so in the end, it works out. In fact she is flying to San Diego on wed, to see a concert, (I coulda bought an alum driveshaft for what that's gonna cost me!) and visit friends. As long as the bills get paid, she and I have an understanding that works pretty well. Been married to her now for 15 yrs, and had hotrods that cost me way more money than this one is, so I'm not to worried about said "cleaner" ever visiting me anytime soon I goof like I have her snowed, but she isn't stupid, and she knows... Heck, she is usually the one signing for the UPS guy since she is home in the daytime, when I'm at work.
