Default having a problem with my AC

Starting last summer I have been having problems with my AC, while I'm driving around it blows nice and cold but if I am at a stopped then it still blows out air just not cold. The problem has become noticeably worst this summer now when driving it blows semi-cold sometimes even warm. Does this sound like the AC needs to be recharged or does it sound like the problem is beyond that. The car is only 3 years old, and I really don't run the AC that much just when it reaches above 85 degrees.

its been allmost 100 here for days and is suppose to stay that way for a while.mine was recharged last yr cause i hit a deer. after work, the car is so hot, even with the limo tint and my widshield screen. i start it up and let it idle, the air blows cool in about2-3 minutes and will freeze me out on high on the highway. when i get into slow traffic it still blows pretty cool. you might want to get it re charged. see if there is a mustang around to compare it too. i could put a thermometer in the vent if you want to compare.

My 08 is nice and cold even when it feels like 100 out. Something needs to be checked or recharged there.

Ok this might sound stupid but is the temp set to cold and not warm or hot? I know I forgot to do that once after cleaning the inside.

mine gets the coldest with the temp dial all the way to the left( blue) and the ac button on and the recirculating button on. fan on high. i like it on the floorboards and the dash. then i have to adjust the heat knob to the right after it gets cold and turn the fan down. usually the temp knob at the 9 o`clock position is nice.

Thats exactly my point. If the temp knob is on hot then AC will be warm.

Yeah, definitely get the AC charged. My wife's car does the same thing, but the ac system is different than in the mustang. After my accident, the AC blew ice cold even when the car was just idling, but since then the air does get slightly cooler at idle but not like my wife's car. During hot days, always make sure your controls are on max ac when trying to make the interior cooler.

Yeah the knob is all the way in the blue. Tonight I am taking it to get checked, I'm hoping that it just needs to be recharged and nothing more than that. Thanx everyone.

mine does the same thing an i live in florida an i have black interiror. What i do all the time to help this out is i warm up my engine first an then i turn the ac on let it cool off the car inside while its still parked. Then i drive to work so its not just getting cold when i get to work but mine does get a little warmer when im stoped but when im crusing it feels fine i thinks its time for a recharge for me an you.
