If you return you car to the stock tune, then disconnect the battery for approx 30 minutes, there will be no tune history. It resets the PCM.

Meh I'm not so sure...

I've been told that it will log all the changes to the car's ECU no matter what.

For example...

Disconnecting the battery could yield ~ 000XX000
Tuning the car back to stock would yield ~ 000XXX000

Both the same & unnoticable. So I've heard.

I think you'll have to. And that's another thing a tuner can do, read and clear codes.

I had a friend of mines talk to a trusted service rep that he is down with and he told me the mechanics would be able to tell if the pcm has been tampered with! Once again if the prob has nothing to do with the tune then ur warranty should be fine but you submit yourself to blame fest with the them. Off course what would you expect a person that works at ford to say?? at least he didnt beat around the bush and said its cool!

But can he say exactly what was done? Maybe all he can say is that it was reflashed.

the only way i think the dealer will care is if you turn in the car, then buy somewhere else.
if your turning in and buying another new car,and all is good except a reflash, they wont care. i think they are more concerned with accidents,dents,ect... i'm 6' 5" and 315 lbs, let them tell me i have to pay xtra my car is going to look better when i return it,then when i bought it! not to concerned, and if i have to,i will buy it,and trade it in 2011 and get the 300 hp v6.
see ya have a great weekend everyone!

you can get a cheap code scanner that will read and clear the code, or go to most auto parts and have the guy read it and clear it for you. most do it for free. i`m guessing you were running lean or rich messing with the intake. try the jlt cai/sctx3 tuner/ 3 custom tunes combo for around 500.00. it packs a punch. call chris rose@tillman speed. 610-497-5776
