Default 2007 Mustang take off muffler V6

Hi,

I have been trying to find info about my new exhaust i purchased and wondered if anyone here can help
Purchased a GT takeoff axle back, stock GT Mustang muffler and had just taken off the stock one when.... I went online and read that for a Maganaflow axleback you need to disconnect the battery for installation of muffler or you could have an electrical problem!!
Please anyone, do i need to do this for my GT takeoff?? i just want one muffler up there for now.

thanks for any reponses!

Kyle

Unplugging the battery is more of just a safety move. You don't have to worry about it unless your just uber worried about getting shocked. The install should be a breeze, and you'll love having the new exhaust.

it also safeguards against setting off the airbags should you be messin around near the sensors, depending what the job is. in the book, about every job on the car says to do that. i ran one gt muff for a while, nice improvement, easy to change, sounded better. you wont have any electrical problems.

Works!

I gotta say it, this is amazing. The mufflers cost me under 50.00 and all i did was simply bolt one up and I am amazed! truly bolt on performance at its best and it hardly has any drone to it, so its comfortable to live with! then giver some gas and hear the sound bellwoing from it now, not bad for my daily driver!
My video will not load at the moment i will try again later.

Haha I just bought gt mufflers off of ebay. $70 including shipping, better than paying $200-$400 for one muffler. I think they're coming in today! I don't have dual yet but I plan to do so in the near future.

Yah, I got a pair of GT mufflers for my buddy for xmas. $64 shipped. We put on just one of the mufflers. The car pulls better on the highway, and he got 2 more mpg.
