Go with a CAI and a Hand held Programmer (tuner). You will need the Tuner for future mods as well so its a good buy.

SCT has nice ones.

+1 You want some "balls out of the hole"? put some 4.10s in it. That is if you dont do a lot of highyway driving. (over about 55-60MPH)

Third on the gears. Dollar for dollar for dollar that will give you the best seat of your pants experience. Of course it does not add horsepower but will make it faster straight line.

An intake, tune, and 3.73 or 4.10 gears would be a nice little package for about a grand. You'll notice it big time.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned exhaust yet.

If she wants it to be louder and see a few hp gains go with exhaust Borla is nice then get a Cold air intake you will pick up another few hp and it will give your exhaust a little deeper tone you can pick up a handheld tuner and CAI package and see some pretty good gains.

I like the JLT and tuner, but get the Bamachips 93 race tune. Only $50.

A lot of people complain about poor fit on Pypes exhaust. Might as well just get a custom exhaust installed at a shop. Pretty inexpensive.

3.73's are good, but make sure the shop is decent. Easy to have problems on gear installs.

Tune/CIA is best deal IMO. I have 4.10s and a 93 octane race tune. I think the race tune is almost as key as the 4.10s for how cheap the tuner and tunes are. sounds like you are going to start off the right way! now the question is... Do you wanna get a whole new 8.8 rear end with gears already in there to avoid dreaded gear whine and get a stronger rear end? Sorry if I complicate the thread

Bamachips tune + CAI is your best bet for a cheap boost of power. Mr. Ugly is right if you are going to go with a dual kit, the pipes are a bit of a pain. The X pipe offered by Pypes that I have on my baby is great though! I'm getting gears next, and from what i hear that is the best damn mod you can put for a push ya back in your seat feel. Happy huntin!
