Default great sound, but want more power

Hi again, I just had my exhaust done today.I cut the bumper using pypes templete(easy),installed two gt takeoffs, and had a custom h-pipe made.cost me a totall of $150 and i love the sound.
THANKS so much for the help.

Next Q? is i want some kick,do i go with a cai&tuner or a x-s/c.
I mainly want to notice a good power gain, but not going to be racing.

Q?=2--If i do go with a s/c (x-charger) is it neccessary to get a intercooled, I wouldnt need anymore HP,or dose the intercooler save the engine life.

Oh and did i mention i LOVE the sound of my car

Once again-THANKS for the real imfromation.

you'll need the tuner either way, so if i were you i would get the cai tuner combo, see if you like the added power, and if you do and have the cash expendable to you then go ahead with the S/C.

is the cai tuner combo really going to be noticable,or will it just seem like stock after a week of driving.I can afford the combo right now vs saving a year or two for the s/c.i still dont understand if the intercooler s/c's are for more power or to be friendlier on the motor.

EVERYTHING seems like stock after a week brutha. Get the CAI and tuner, then save your pennies for a supercharger.

The hotter the forced air gets, the more it expands, but when it expands from heat it doesn't carry any more oxygen, so you actually get less oxygen into your engine. An intercooler keeps the compressed air cooler thereby giving you the same amount of oxygen, thereby making the same power as when the charge is cool. It can be said to save your engine I guess, but it's primary reason is to cool the inlet air temps and preserve the hp.

CAI + SCT X3 Tuner + Bamachips Tune = Good power. The CAI/tuner deals go for about 600 bucks. The Bamachips tune will be 50 bucks. You could also go with a Tuner/ Gear (3.73 or 4.10) combo, which is in the mid 500's and from what i hear (my gears are on their way ) make a huge difference.

Im thinking about the cai/tuner/bamachip. If i purchase this from bamachip will the tuner come pre programmed from bama or will it have the sct program.this may sound really stupid but where i live we have max 100` summers and low 0-30` winters, will this set up be ok for year round running, or will i constantly be having to change tunes. I pretty much want to set up the car and leave it the same year around.
