Sure it will work. Could cause battery undercharging since the alternator RPMs are affected. If you're running a 2000 watt amp that could be a problem. Other than that, I wouldn't worry. I've had no problems with my UDPs

Doug at Bamachips has dyno'd the 2 available pulleys.

ASP pulley - 4hp/6 tq gain
PHP alternator pulley - 3-5 hp gain

These numbers are at the wheel... but, they've also been dyno'd together. No additional gains with both pulleys, so choose one over the other. The alternator pulley is quite a bit less expensive and those who have it report no charging problems.

pulleys dont increase power at all... all they do is free up HP... as long as you dont have like a 2000Watt system, then you could have charging issues... but it will not hurt the engine at all....

whoops... my bad... some inaccurate credits. Doug dyno'd the asp pulley. Another fellow who often goes by the name of Scrming has the PHP pulley dyno'd I believe at Alternative Auto.
