I have searched this site hi & low...I am looking for a website that will give definitive answers to power increases versus cost of these 3 options. I think that true duals are going to give the most power, but is it worth the $100-150 that it will cost to have someone to cut the pipes and fabricate? Is the cost of doing ANY dual setup worth the cost of cutting or replacing my rear bumper? If I am going to spend an extra $400-600 dollars to get either version of the duals w/take off bumper, am I gaining enough HP or should I just do an axle back? Once again...I am looking for "published" results.

You could trim the rear bumper cover. I used a CD as a templet.
True dual will give the biggest power increase.
The best price would be to get a set of GT take offs mufflers, any other aftermarket mufflers will be little to no improvement over them on the Hp gains, just the sound changes.
I made a template based on the right cutout and used it to cut the left one (turned it 180 deg.) Then I sanded it smooth and painted it with touch up paint. Looks perfect. Cutout was NOT a perfect circle.

axel back, true duals, duals- does it really matter. i've never seen a mustang running axel backs with one pipe, or duals on one pipe. i think the question you need to be asking is if you want a Hpipe, Xpipe, or a true dual setup where both pipes aren't touching(which is what i have).......i've also heard that if you run a Hpipe setup you get more low end torque, well i think thats a load of bullsh*t.
A good axle back will give you 8 to 10RWHP... an MRT Aero-Turbine will give you even more... My MRT outperfomed my Magnaflow by about 7RWHP at peak and even more after 5500 RPM...
Going to a dual setup will only give you a couple of HP...
I have a Mrt aero turbine single axle back for sale. Too loud for me and ....where I live. It only has about 100 miles on it looks new. Will sell for 150 pick up only please. San Diego

So you've finally had enough of it, huh? I'll be looking for that dual exhaust setup

fishingjts...I am thinking of going with the FR Borla axle back M-5230-5V6...any thoughts? I will most likely go with true duals at some point, but I want too many things right now to go thru the cost.
