Default I need some tire/wheel help...

Thanks for reading...I am looking to upgrade my 2005 v6 tires and wheels. A friend of mine has a set of Stock 17" 2004 wheels and tires taken off his 2004 GT. I called a local dealership to ask if these will fit, but there weren't sure if they would bolt right on or need a spacer. Unfortunatly I cannot try to mount them due to both of our busy schedules. Can anyone help?

Rich

You need a spacer. A far better option is to buy a set of 2005+ GT take offs. You can typically get a set of wheels and tires for around $500. They are well worth the $$ and make the car look far better.

Default RE: Wheels/Tires

$500??? Cheapest I've found is like $650 and that is before the huge shipping cost. More like $750+++. Unless you have a hookup somewhere? If so, by all means hook me up!

I was going to buy the GT Take-off bullitt rims and tires myself because I was in desperate need of tires. 2 of them were leaking but seemed to have no holes, and a 3rd had a patch that was dangerously close to the sidewall. Anyway, after seeing the prices ($700-750) I decided to wait on rims and just get tires. Down the road when I have a bit more money i'll get the rims I want rather than settling for something that is better but still just OK.

The tires I decided on are the same as the stock. BF Goodrich Traction T/A. I went with a staggered set-up; 215/65/16's on the front, 235/60/16's on the rear. The rears are just a bit wider, I love them!
