You know I have wanted that Hurst shifter for two years, and have read post after post. This is a travisty. You would think that Ford Racing or Hurst would accept responsibility to the car community and make a fix. Instead they ignore you. ( I hate them saying "It's Normal") It is so typical. Why do we put up with it. Maybe a class action suit is what is needed or maybe the solution should be they give it up and have it made in CHINA. Used to be you could trust American manufactures to produce quality. This is a Shame!!!!

It sure is!
They are banking on me just giving up at some point and just living with the rattle. Ford needs to stop having Ford Racing parts installed under warranty at the dealer, cause it is not making them look good either! It is putting the dealerships in a bad light.
I WILL get to the bottom of this....somehow! I beleive the tolerences on these shifters very tremendously at the factory, that is why some are worse then others.

O.k. now mine rattles too-installed in July, just took a trip down to Atlantic City and here the rattle at certain RPM's....thought it was just the cheap plastic of the console or dashboard.

So took me about 4 months about 2000 miles to get the rattle. If I press down a little on the shift the rattle stops.

Guess I'll try the hose or dynamat? fixes....

Still shifts fine.
