Default what transmission fluid for 2005 mustang 5 speed automatic transmission?

I have an 05 v-6 stang with the 5 speed auto, and want to have it serviced......whats the right fluid......a buddy works at an auto repair shop and their car care guide says do not use synthetic,and use only mercon V......so is it ok to use mobil 1 mercon V ?

Welcome aboard... You should be using 11.9 qts of MERCON V. Brand doesn't matter.

I believe the stuff Ford puts in there is partial synthetic.
