Default If not a MUSTANG then what?

If you had to get rid of your Mustang, what would you accept to have parked in your driveway and not be frustrated to drive?

Some ideas...

MINI COOPER S
WRX/STI
MIATA
CAMARO
350Z
BRZ/FRS

Thoughts and opinions???

You forgot to add M3 and M5!!! ///M.

Not bad choices. But out of those I would pick 350z or WRX. If you had a ws6 on there it would be my top choice. Couldn't see myself driving one of those catfish scumaro cars

M3 good option

Z06 too

No real bad choices just opinions...I had a 2004 WRX and a 2011 STI too. Miss the AWD but that is what I have our 2011 Volvo s60 T 6 for...

Love the torque of a V-8

Out of that list the only that I would consider is the Nissan. But I'd rather have a new Challenger.

Out of the list the only choice will have to be the Camaro as it is the only one with the V8

What other V-8's would be acceptable ?

Ideas abound...

Audi's all the way to the Z-06...

Just thought I'd throw the whole A-Z out there.

How about that Porsche 911, that's got a big block V8 mounted under the hood, right?

I'm not sure if you're asking us to choose any car, or just a car from your list.

If the latter, I would have to go with the Camaro. I owned a 5th gen Camaro until last year. Unfortunately, it was not just a V6, but also a flappy-paddle automatic. That being said, I still loved it to death. I can only imagine the feeling of opening that SS's 6.2L up on a long and narrow road. It has it's problems like any other car today (fat, slow, impractical) but damn does that thing charm you.

Aside from the cars on your list, I've always had a soft spot for the Chevelle, even the hideous '71 + models

I'd just go back to driving my F150 everyday. 110k miles and it runs like a swiss watch.

Yes any car...list was just an idea to kick off...

I like the boxer v-8 too...what year did they make that option

The Mrs. has a soft spot in her heart for the 70"s Novas and loves ALL camaros...

Good news though is she "really" loves Mustangs.

I looked at the Z-06 early 2000's (affordability). My insurance company said , "Uh sorry we do not insure any vettes..." WHAT!?

They insured my 2011 STI and a Mustang GT but not a Vette. That's just wrong. At 42 years old and no violations it confuses me that a vette is a no no to my insurance company.

I think the one thing we've all learned from corvette crash videos is that you're never too old to total a 'vette :nogrinner

For some reason I didn't notice that you listed STI originally. You gotta love that turbo

Camaro

Fortunately I took the question as: in addition to your Mustangs then what? I will never buy a car from a foreign car manufacturer even if its assembled here in the USA. I would buy a Camaro even though its assembled in Canada. And I did (I have a Camaro on order now). I decided that a supercharged 580HP inferno orange metallic 2013 Camaro would look good in my garage right next to my supercharged 540HP (with the FRPP "KR" kit installed) torch red 2008 GT500. My wife Debbie's 420HP deep impact blue metallic 2013 Mustang GT premium is already parked on the other side of the GT500.

From your list i would choose the WRX. I've always liked those. Love the AWD of course. And of all 4 cylinder engines, the Subaru Boxers sound the best, IMO.

Any other car would have to be a 300 SRT8 or Charger SRT8.

Congratulations Gary, I had an LT with that same color. It is just about the most fantastic metallic color I've ever seen in my life. It's been awhile since I've been following the Camaro, are you talking about the ZL1 or are they offering another supercharged model now?
