Default Price for a dyno tune on a 2007 Mustang

For curiosity's sake I got a quote for a dyno-tune. I was quoted $400.

Does this seem high or is this about the going rate?

Thanks

I was quoted 500$, but that included the 379 for the sct 3..so only an addditional 150 for the half an of dyno time I guess..400 seems high with no tuner???

The $400 is a tune with no tuner. I told him I already have the sct. Thanks for the info.

seems pricey if they've already done a bunch of our cars, they should have a good base program and just have to do some tinkering.. but maybe my quote was just really low

most shops are about 500 or so for a good tune.most have a base fee then a 150 per hour.

$150/hr seems to be the going rate. Normally takes 1.5-2 hrs to accomplish 3 pulls and build the tune.

At my tuner I pay $225 no matter if he makes 1 pull or 10 pulls, It's does have some advantages having him as a friend.

Just talked w/Brent @ Brenspeed today, he's telling me around 200 or so. I've already got his mail order tune & I revised it lately for my LT's install. Would just be a minor tweak & few pulls. So wouldn't be a complete rebuild/rework of existing tune, but a fair price IMO.

Well I pay 100 an hour plus a 150$ for the Dyno or its 500 flat rate if he takes to much time, because sense he is the only one in the shop he gets phone calls and stuff. So we will usually spent 4 hours or so on my car. Pulling it off the dyno hooking up the wide band to see how the tune goes on the street and then tweaking here and there
