Default S197 Mustang... Are Apex lowering springs any good?

Theres a guy in town selling a set of Apex springs for 120 bucks. He says theyre brand new in the box never used etc. Anyone here use Apex? Are they a decent spring? Should I wait and put a more reputable set on later?

Apex are made in Holland and are very good springs. They do mostly import/tuner stuff.

Is that for both the front and rear springs?

Yeah I just got em. My neighbor was selling them. He said he ordered the Apex then decided to go with Steedas. Now all I need is a coil compressor and Im set. Car wont hit the streets for another few months but when it does Ill let yall know what I think of the springs.

Most good autoparts chains (i.e Autozone) will have a spring compressor that you can borrow.

I've got them. I installed all the way around but didn't like the ride. I then bought Steeda's and installed only the rears. The Apex springs seemed to lower the car more than advertised. I still am running them in front and my car still has the nose down attitude but I like it this way. I think it gives the car a meaner attitude.

booger, what exactly didnt you like about the ride? Too stiff? Too soft? The front does look quite a bit lower in the pic. Gives it that old school look. I just want some decent springs thatll make the car handle better with less roll and of course lower it an inch or so.

They were supposed to lower 30 mm in rear and 25 mm in front which is an inch in front and about 1 1/4" in rear. These springs looked like it lowered about 1 3/4" in the rear. I didn't like how low it was and it kind of had a ricer bounce to it. I know the front is lower than an inch too but right now I'm going to keep it this way and change to Tokico Spec D's sometime this spring.
