Default 2007 Mustang GT... Catted H pipe & Pypes Violators

Currently I have the Pypes Violators. I would like to add a mid pipe. I have heard that the H pipe will keep my deeper sound. That is what I want. I am looking for a stainless steel H pipe with hi-flow cats. Is there a such animal or will I have to do hi-flow cats with custom h pipe.
Another question, if I go with a catted X will it change the sound that much with the Violators? I really don't want a hi pitch sound. I like the deep throaty sound better.

Pypes doesn't make a catted H but you could certainly have a set of Pypes h/f cats fit into their H pipe. Yes an X will change the sound some, but it's not bad. I ran an o/r X with Violators for a year and it sounded great. JBA is the only one I know that offers a catted H JBA 6675SHC JBA 2.5'' H-Pipe with Cats 2005+ Mustang - 6675SHC JBA

Thanks, I just wasn't sure about the X. Can a muffler shop do that or should I go to a performance shop?

If you buy a new midpipe it's an easy swap. Just a couple of bolts to remove the flange on each side and a band clamp.

Every stang has that h-pipe deep sound. I'll admit that deep throaty sound is awesome, but I love my X set up...Very different, and turns a lot of heads.

I do prefer an H but I'm used to my X now.

don't know how good it is but here is the H-pipe that replaces the mid-pipe and uses the stock cats (which I have read are pretty good). Assuming that I don't get laid off in the near future and don't get told that this is a POS I am going to do this and a set of ford racing GTAs

Maybe I will give the X pipe a try. I am almost leaning towards going with O/R now. Not sure yet. We don't have emissions control in Louisiana as of now. Doubt they will any time soon. Thanks for the help.

I just got the Violators in December and was thinking of a new mid-pipe, if the H pipe is the deaper sound, then that's what I am going to want to stay with, we don't have any inpsections in SC so I guess I could go with an o/r myself as well, but I assume I would have to get a tuner to shut off any sensors going to the cats?

In any event I'm interested in what you get and how it sounds.

It's a decent midpipe but does require some cutting/fabrication to fit it.

You'll need either mil eliminators or a tune to shut off the rear O2s or it will throw a code.

I will work with Brenspeed to give me an updated tune in order to turn off.
CJL
I'll let you know what I do. Looking to go to Pensacola Gulf Coast National Ford and Mustang show in March. I will look to see if any vendors are there so I can look at their products. If not I will shoot from the hip and probably go with something from Brenspeed. Probably Pypes H O/R pipe.

If you do get that, please post a sound clip. I have been more than curious about that thing for quite some time.

If you are looking for a high flow catted H go to Mustang Racing Technoligies (MRT) theirs are very high quality.

You can hear a video from Brenspeed on the Violators with the O/R H.
