I am running the same set up on my 06 GT 5 SPD. Love them !!!
Now, I want a high-flow catted X- Pipe. It shouldn't be annoyingly louder.

I was thinking of getting this catted x-pipe but not sure if it would be too raspy with the Boomtubes. The price is great though!

Those look good. I had checked on the Magnaflow Catted X. Either way the "Tubes are so much better sounding, and I love to see ethel & Homer turning around to see what is making that noise coming up behind them as they walk Tillie, the miniature ankle-biter.

I want something a little louder as well and these seem like the right choice but I'm also considering what it'll be like as I'm creeping through my neighborhood at 3am after a late Friday or Saturday night.

It's like a Harley in the morning... it wakes everyone up and THAT's not cool. Being Mad Max on the road is one thing... being Mad Max at 3am pulling into your driveway is another...

I want these but I don't live out on the plains in isolation... what to do, what to do!

I could take the much more quieter Vue out but what fun would that be on a Friday / Saturday! Those axelbacks sound GREAT though... damn...

Ahhhh, Daryle - just order them, I did... after years of worrying about what the neighbors think when it comes to the house, motorcycles, maintenance, what we choose to do - I don't give a rats a$$ anymore... I can't wait to get these on.... my brother is going to help me slap them on hopefully next weekend.

They sound good but I prefer the GTAs. They give a deeper sound. Good luck with the neighbors Judi

Thanks, but I have a great pair and a crabby pair... so what I do really doesn't matter either way! I'll give an update when they're on!

It is a first-shift right-handed world & I, too, have had to creep in under the radar late at night. I just use discretion and shut it off ASAP after parking in the garage. I do not regret getting them at all.

Thats crazy because after watching this video of the before and after (stock vs. GTA's) I think the stock are deeper sounding. Now i think the Boomtubes are deeper than the stock so I find it difficult to think the GTA's give a deeper sound than the Boomtubes. It goes like this:

Deepest Sounding Axle back = GTA < Stock < Boomtubes

So with the above logic, Boomtubes < GTA doesn't make sense

Thanks so much for your post - without it, we may never have really known about them!!!

I have to tell you - by some of the comments I was nervous they'd be too loud! I was really nervous - but they're not too loud, not too quiet - and the low rumble on the gas is exactly what we were looking for - now, if this rain would stop... I could go out and have some fun!

One of our neighbors met us outside with a huge grin on his face when we got back... they're perfect!

{edit: I let Ninosport know about this thread when I ordered the tubes - AFM has made it onto NinoSports Webpage!}

Nice, they sound sick! I love how on the after video, when the gas is being hammered on it sounds like the mic is no longer audible.

Glad when taking the vids you did in same place, at same distance. The crazy thing is I think these sound better than just about any other muffler / axleback. To top it off, you'd think these would be more than most others but they're cheaper.

By the way, I'm going to assume these will rust pretty good, huh Oh wait, I don't drive my car in the winter
