Agreed....you gotta kind of kneel down for a closer
look to see inside, and at first it kinda gives the illusion
of spider webs inside. Like some kind of Metal Orb Weaver
spent the night in there.

Default My crappy Boomtubes compilation video!

After toiling around in iMovie for 2 nights, this is my creation, hoping to help out anyone considering Boomtubes or anyone who just wants to hear more clips, because they sound delicious.

(I will warn you, there's 2 curses in the songs (which I added because the eerie silent background noise creeped me out having to watch for 5 minutes), but they're pretty drowned out by the car anyway!)

The pics in the middle are of my Stang with my neighbor's 96 vert in the background, and one (horribly dark) shot of my car coincidentally parked next to its beautiful '66 twin!

Anyone have the Boomtubes with the Prochamber?
if so, do you have a video?
if not, do you have a review?

and if so, do you think Boomtubes + Prochamber with Mutha Thumpr camps for the lopey idle but with resonators would be too loud for a daily driver?

Here's an old video of mine...

I added resonators because it was trumpeting and raspy at WOT. Cams would sound awesome with this setup! Wish I can get cams but I live in Craplifornia.

I'm getting the boom tubes this week also. However I was concerned that they would rust as someone mentioned. I contacted brenspeed and they told me they were made of 304 stainless. Any truth to this? From the pic it looks like they are to me.

The outside doesn't rust... the inside chamber does - mine are starting to - I noticed last night when I was covering the car... when they fall off - I'll get another pair... I'll try and get a few pics today to show ya!

Edit: Had to get a coffee refill... here are a couple pics... we have a few blind commuters from seeing me in my PJs!!!

Is the inside rusting a common problem for most aftermarket mufflers?

I have not read this thread for awhile. It was what that coaxed me to get mine I believe. Glad there is a good following as these are a bad ass muff. I've had mine since spring of '08. Get looks all the time.

I got my Steeda CAI and tunes from Tillman. Spoke with Chris Rose today and ordered the Thumpr Stage I along with replacement tunes. It'll take a couple weeks or so to get them installed and post a video but I'll follow up on this thread. I can't wait to hear the BT's with this cam! I love the old school sound because I am old school.

My husband said to me today "They're getting even louder...."

I forgot to post, just an FYI... Boomtubes have a lifetime warranty - I realized that when I was looking at Boomtubes for my husbands '93...

We love 'em!

Looks like I will be adding Kook's long tubes & catted H after the Thumpr goes in. Chris Rose set me up with them as well. I'll do a video after the Thumpr's are in and then follow up after the Kook's are in. Should be a good comparison. Not sure on how loud it will get after the Kook's as the Boom Tubes are pretty loud now. Not sure, the Boom Tubes may need to be replaced if too loud.

The Boom Tube is one of my favorite mufflers. It has a deep aggressive tone that is unmatched. Deep rumble idle but nice and throaty at WOT.
