Default Would you buy a GT500 for MSRP?

Hey all, I thought I would pass this on. I was playing at my local Ford dealer recently and the guy I deal with (one of the General Managers) said he will sell me (and anyone else I send to him) a new GT500 for MSRP. Talk about tempting, heh? Funny thing is that this same guy thinks my car looks better than a GT500. Tempting it is, but since mine is so unique now, and for a mere $7000 I can go supercharged and be better than a GT500......yes, tempting, but not tempting enough for me. If anyone is interested, drop me a PM.

I was looking at one recently at my local Ford dealer (not like I can afford one lol) It's marked up a little over 60K when MSRP is around 48K. I was just looking at it and it looks dead sexy, the thing I didn't like was how the stripes were put on. It's like someone can peel them off or in time they will start to peel off on their own. I say keep your ride and go FI, your ride most def looks unique

Did you know if you remove the stripes and paint them on you will loose value on the GT500.That is insane.

Yes, I did know that...additionally, if you modify it with common things like a CAI w/tune, lowering, window tinting, wheels, or any of the various cosmetic mods...your value will drop too.

There are some dealers out here that are selling them for MSRP also.

IF I could have gotten one for MSRP when I bought my car I would have. I know that for $7000 you can have yours supercharged and be at there power level but I think that 5.4 has alot more HP potential. In the new MMFF they swapped the supercharger to a 3.4 whipple and made over 650 HP at the wheels. Those things can make sick power so easily!

I would seriously consider it at MSRP. However, I'd get raped if I traded so I'd have to sell mine outright. I don't see it happening.

I would have at the MSRP but I like the Roush 427 I got instead. I bought it as a driver for the nice weather, not as an investment.

Retail... I hate paying retail for groceries let alone a car. I am sure if you look they are available at a sizable discount at select dealers.

This coming from a previous Ford dealer.

The 427 Roush is one of my favorite cars. It's a well balanced car with great power and handling. Good choice

Slap a supercharger on yours and be done with it. Your car looks great and with a bit of boost you'll be a grinnin' fool.

I been working for a living (you know, the four letter word called "WORK"). Work has been busy, plus I have been traveling again. Additionally, I have been crazy mad with the remodel of the house. I thought dropping $18K+ for mods on the car was crazy....I am approaching $50K on the remodel (every project is delayed and over budget) with the possibility of another $25k more to come in the near future.

By the way, I knew you would be spending a little (okay, alot) of dough on mods. Admit it, you are addicted. repeat after me..."Hello, my name is Gary, and I am a modaholic". Now, dont you feel better.

So are you liking your mods? Can I interest you in a GT500?

Put the Kenne Bell you're looking at on top of your engine and you'll be better than GT500 any day.
