Default Odd looking S197 Mustang GT exhaust

Was out to dinner the other night and pulled up next to a nice yellow GT vert. I looked at the exhaust and it had side exit mufflers exiting the sides of some custom rear bumper cover. Have never seen anything like it. Wish I'd have had my camera phone with me but I had forgotten it at home.

Sounds like it was a cool sight to see Mark, did it look like it was done really well?

Didn't have long to look at it. It had thin rectangular tips but looked professionally done.

Side exits behind the rear wheels, not in front of? Never heard of that. The tips were coming through the sides of the rear fascia?

Thats definitely different. What was your first impression of it? I'm trying to imagine what it would look like, but I dont know if the image is that appealing.

Sounds interesting but I think i'd be more interested in a side exhaust that comes out in front of the rear wheels.

Wouldn't the road crud collect on the exhaust real bad with them located there? It's bad enough trying to keep the chunks off the bumper cover behind the wheels as it is. pcfrisch would have to invest in a bigger set of spash guards.

Sorry guys I don't like them. They just seem out of place. Like those are some kind of pep boys peel and stick vents that certain people love to stick all over their auto's. Those and the peel and stick flames. Now those are really nice too. But besides the side exhaust liked Ali F's Mustang!

IMHO...The tips would compliment the body kit better if they were in front of the rear wheels.

Oval tips with a rectangle cutout?

Interesting idea, but they just didn't look like they belonged there.

Maybe a single tip rather than double. or true round not oval.

The one I saw didn't have a cutout through the bumper but rather a little rectangular notch at the bottom of the bumper cover.
