nice mod. how did I miss this thread? but, i don't think I could delete the antenna all together. even when I unscrew it for car washes, it doesn't pick up the radio stations I have preset. I need an antenna booster under the dash or fender or sumtin.

Thanks for that bit of info!! I have been pondering the best way to get rid of that ugly eye sore of an antenna. It just doesn't do it for me. I am def going to look into this!!! That is awesome!!!!! Much Thanks for sharing that with all of us!!!

I searched and found the thred, but it doesn't have any of the pictures...
this is a mod that I will do eventually, and I was just planning on filling the holes with Bondo...

I don't get it at all. I think the shorty antenna looks cool. -Certainly better than a "patch" sitting next to the hood like that.
