Hello, I am about ready for my first oil change. Ive got an 05 Gt and i was wondering the best oil to put in my car. This will be the first oil change i do cuz this is my first car. Thanks in advance.
Your going to get a lot of different opinions for oil Your going to get people that will say that some oil brands don't give them any performance or they do not feel any difference. I did some research through some different forums and I found that many people preferred Amsoil synthetic motor oil. I researched their site as well as third party test results and Amsoil was the better oil from many different brands like Pennzoil and Valvoline. Amsoil is good stuff and I have used that ever since 2002 with no problems. Mobil 1 synthetic is also amazing and did just as well on some tests as Amsoil. I say choose an oil brand that you are comfortable with and just make sure it is synthetic oil. Good luck with the oil hunt

I use Mobil 1 extended mileage. I change the oil and filter every 10,000 miles. At 5,000 miles I change the filter and refill the level. It may be hard to get Amsoil where you live. Also you can get the 5 quart jug of Mobil 1 at Walmart for $26.00, that is not a bad price for the extended mileage. Good luck
Well I bought the car used with 10,000 miles. Now it has 12,000 miles on it. The dealer said they changed the oil but its prolly bad conventional BS. Thanks for the responses though
