Man they are really strict. I didn't expect to fail because I have a tune in my car. Now I need to take out the intake reflash my car, get a sticker and then reinstall the tune and intake. Bleh, why does the state care so much that I modified my car lol.

Inspections are what they are... but when you live in a state that has them... and you see, every single day, cars with valid stickers that have NO BUSINESS being on the road, you realize that much of it is a simple money grab.
I don't have a problem w/ 93 tune Bassani X w/ hi-flo cats and Steeda cans. Why did your car fail? I wold have gone to another station. Some stations are tools (a-holes) think they're Oblama err I mean god.

Hmmm...Well I passed everything else except the part that said "onboard computer not ready to be read." No idea what that means but he told me it was because of my tune. Who knows now. I don't really feel like paying another 30 dollars to go to another place. He said when I put everything back to stock it will pass. Who knows lol, such a pita.

Most likely the tune turned off the rear O2 sensors. If the computer has not been receiving data it will give the not ready or not able to read message. I am about to get a tune and intake, and I've put the question to Justin at VMP. Since I want to avoid the change out headache ever year, he stated he could write the tune to keep the rear O2 sensors on and the car should pass fine.
Well the guy himself was really cool. He wanted to pass me but he hooked the car up to the computer so it was out of his hands. Its the computer that decides pass or fail which I think is kind of scary. We depend on computers too much.

As mentioned earlier, probably the O2 sensors are turned off. This is common with the tunes... in fact i understand the default for most of them is with the O2 off. I had a time with my previous car for that very reason. Good luck.
