Ford racing will be selling turnkey NHRA approved drag cars.It comes with a 5.4 DOHC supercharged engine with an upgraded TVS blower, skinny's up front and drags in the back, 1 peice drive shaft, 6 point roll cage, fully stripped interior, only available to Ford Racing dealerships and only 50 will be made for the 2008 model year. Parts to create your own Cobra Jet will be available from Ford Racing shortly after. Supposedly capable of ten second quarter miles.

My favorite part is when the guy says "It's 3300 lbs lighter"........3300 lbs lighter than what, an F350? Also he says it has 400 to 420 Horse Power, it's gotta be higher than that to hit low 10'. Edmunds.com is a bunch of tools.

lmao that guy's a retard.... that engine makes 605 hp, it's the same one in the Super Snake, and I really don't think it's 3300lbs lighter than the stock GT

It weighs whatever NHRA rules allows. 3200# I believe
There are also only 50 because that is the rule in NHRA to qualify...same thing in 1964 with the Thunderbolt and in 1968 with the original Cobra Jet R code factory racers.
4 weeks ago FRPP was out at our local track running it through it's paces. Some pics were up for a while, but had to be taken down until the release at SEMA.
