Default Fake gas tank emblem

i need to know how to remove the emblem in the middle of the trunk that's supposed to look like the old mustang gas tank, a link to instructions with pics would or detailed be a lot of help because i can get the plastic housing off i just don't know which nuts are for the emblem it's self

if you pop your trunk and take a look at it you should see some bolts in the same location as the emblem. just loosen and remove the bolt. it's also possible that there is nothing more than 3m tape holding it on. what are you going to put in its place?

I believe theres only 3M tape holding it, no bolts or screws as far as i know

It's held on only with adhesive. A heat gun on low and some fishing line will make quick work of it. Be advised that there are 2 alignment holes in the body that would need to be filled if you plan to leave it off.
