Default Which programmer is best?

Out of all the different programmers out there, which one is the most user friendly and gives the most bang for the buck?

Hey Kre2pass, The Sct X3 with are custom tunes is the most used and best bang for the buck. It is user friendly and always being upgraded by Sct. Alot of customers will go with a CAI and custom tune to gain around 30 horsepower, more torque and better fuel milage. We do have a video on the sct tuner being installed on one of are Gt mustangs under videos on www.brenspeed.com-- If you have any other questions give us a call.
Thanks Dave

Like everyone has mentioned here, SCT X3 has more adjustability and most tuners do use it. But when buying a tuner, and you want the full potential of the tune have YOUR CAR CUSTOM DYNO TUNED!!!!! A lot of tuners sell these tuners pre-loaded, with what they call custom dyno tunes. And they are a custom dyno tune, on the car that they were made on. Loaded into your car, it's just a canned tune file made from another car of your make and model with the same mods. Remember this well, each car reacts different to any tune file. If the tune was made in say Florida, and lets say you live in Michigan that tune will be way off due to weather conditions which play a big factor when it comes to tuning. Or even if you had two 07 bone stock GT's, and tuned them both on the same dyno they will react different because no two cars are alike. So no matter which tuner you decide on, which we all hope it would be SCT because of the fact that most tuners use them. And for you the ease of using the tuner. But get YOUR CAR custom dyno tuned, instead of buying a tuner that comes pre-loaded with canned tune files, Mike. SCT Tuner. Good luck, which ever way you choose.

Your right Itlrun, Alot of the same year mustangs vairy from state to state with temp's and alot of mustangs are a little different on are dyno with horsepower and torque numbers. We here at brenspeed have dyno tested and done more custom tunes than the average shop. The volume we do here through brenspeed makes are tunes right on the mark. Every customer with a custom brenspeed dyno tune is very satisfied.

plus it was a fun drive home

If you are not heavily modded, you may want to try the SCT SF3. It has preprogrammed tunes for lots of cars, plus it can have custom tunes loaded into it. It is just like the SCT X3 except it has the preprogrammed tunes as well as the custom tunes. I got mine from Brenspeed.

I have never had a problem with my Diablosport Predator. The SCT is a little more popular though. Either one is good.

Itlrun. Points I didn't even consider.
I live in Iowa but plan to move to SC. Does the purchase location of the programmer have anything to do with the type of tune in the programmer? West coast purchased programmer wc tune; mid-west programmer mid-west tune

While i totally agree that custom tuning is better than canned tunes, (I don't do canned tunes and custom tune everything over email) the statement above is a bit of a stretch. For a mostly stock car why not leave the IAT timing tables the same as stock? These are maf based cars too, nothing like SD.
