Default My GT had a delivery date !!!

I purchased an GT from a dealer that had one coming into stock on Monday and it is set to arrive next Tuesday.

I called ford with the VIN# and they were able to tell me that it is set to arrive the dealer on Tuesday the 11th.

I did have one on order with Ford but canceled it after finding this one being shipped. I used the locator on Ford.com, and typed in every Zip code on the West coast and found this one identicle to the one I had ordered. I did though pay MSRP. They were trying to get 3K over but just said " NO". It worked.

Anyhow I have a Black ext/ Charcoal int/ Premium GT, with interior upgrade inc. mycolor shaker 1000, 17" machined wheels. Automatic, spoiler, active theft. Etc. This was EXACTLY how I had configured my order.

I can not wait to dust of the Old letterman jacket, through the kids in the car and do smokey burn offs around the culdisac I live on. Neighbors are going to SH%&^T

my dealer told me 6 to 8 weeks not months, he stressed that it will be closer to the 8 weeks, but fortunately for me I should have it by the 18th. I ordered it on Dec 2nd. So not sure why they would be saying 6 to 8 months, the max I would guess with the rumors of shortages of the IUP, spoillers, manual transmissions, but the longest should not be more the 12 weeks, if so then you might want to start searching the internet for the same car or close to it at a dealer in cities around you.

Congratulations oin your vert, I hope the delivery is quick. I found out today that instead of my GT coming from Michigan via truck, it is coming via train, I live in Austin Texas and it will get dropped off at some depot in San Antonio this Friday and then loaded on a truck and sent back to Austin to my dealer for pickup this Sat. It is funny that the train carrying it will have to go past Austin to get to San Antonio and then it is sent back to Austin. Oh Well, as long as I have it this weekend.

Right on club!!!
I just received this today "The status on your vehicle is "UNSCH / CLEAN".
Is this good? '05 vert fully loaded IUP here also. Does "UNSCH / CLEAN". mean the accepted IUP?

This is the VOPC number and its for dealers only.
I went to my dealer and got the dealer submitted new order page, but when I called the 1-800 # it asked for a 5 digit dealer code. The dealer code I got has 5 digits and a letter, so it won't work??

Thanks for that, but I got some lady on the phone and I got rejected, caught in the act! I didn't know you had to say you worked at a dealer.

I'm curious about something, since this is my first time following something like this through order, before I do order a car. Lets say you placed your order 4 weeks ago, and it hasn't even begun to be built yet, all you have is an order number, and it has the IUP package so it's going slow. Could you still make changes to the car??

And what kind of changes can you make, only interior options, or can you actually change from say a V6 to GT - like how big can the changes be without loosing your spot in line or whatever???

I ordered a Perf. White 05 GT with IUP and Red Interior on Dec 9th. The 1-800 number shows it to be statused Clean & Unscheduled as well. Dealer says not to expect it until the end of February

My husband ordered his GT on Nov 22. He has the IUP. I've been checking the 800 number referenced here and the status still shows as clean and unscheduled. We just got a call from the sales dept at the dealership, the story that he gave us is that Ford is only pulling 2 orders per dealership per month for the Mustangs with the IUP. The guy said that they have a total of 36 on order. He didn't know where we fell in that 36. He suggested that we scrap the IUP because others at the dealership did it and the orders were pulled almost immediately. We were going to wait until the end of the month to see if the order gets pulled. If not, my husband will make a decision. This really stinks.
