Thumbs up 2005 Ford Mustang JBA Ceramic Silver Coated Headers.

Hi Guys & Gals.
I Love the 2005 Mustang!!!

Anyway,...
I ran into a pretty good offer that I thought I'd share with those of you that own or are getting a 2005 Ford Mustang and wanted to get a set of headers for your ride.

I was able to get one of the performance exhaust shops to offer a Group Buy for the Newly Released JBA Headers for the 2005 Ford Mustangs.

Pricing on the Street Header is as follows:
Plain Stainless: JBA-1675S $530.00 (58 QTY)
Coated Stainless: JBA-1675SJS $650.00 (6 QTY)
High-Heat Coated Stainless (supercharged applications): JBA-1675SJT $650.00 (9 QTY)

(2) Different Versions of JBA Headers for the 2005 Ford Mustang.
Street Legal, a mid-length 1-5/8" and Off-Road Version.
Theres also an H-Pipe available for the mid-length Headers.

Quantities are what is currently available. Typical coating time is 2-weeks.

I just purchased a set of the ceramic silver coated headers just released for the 05 Dakota today, My neighbor owns a new `05 Mustang is why I asked them to include the 2005 Mustang as well, So I'm pretty excited about getting them and getting them installed I hope i get as much power gains as suggested I should.

For more information about this offer please visit url http://www.onlineautorama.com/forum...hread.php?t=514

The site above with the info itself doesnt sell anything so theres no popups or ads or stuff like that.

Well there ya go,.. Hope this finds to be useful to someone, It's great price and I know mine were about $100-$150 cheaper than anyone of the top 50 sites I emailed doing a search on google.com

Take care.

I read some where on this forum that JBA headers only gives the Mustang 3 extra HP, so you might want to think about if it's worth the price.

Default Checked JBA Site

Heres the link to the DYNO Sheet from JBA.

But who knows it wouldnt be the 1st time I've heard of a company to pay big bucks to post bogus information about their products but who knows. I would Hope Not that any header at any price would only give 3 HP. Thats pretty bad. I could probably run at 1/2 gallon of gas in the tank and get better results than 3 HP lol J/K not really sure on that 1/2 gallon thingy.
Anyway I just thought that maybe this might be of use to someone...

The JBA long tubes are good, I'm not much of an exhaust guy but I saw a install, CAI w/ tuner and catted X; 287 RWHP and then added the JBA long tubes for just short of 300, 299.4 I think it was...

Of all of the exhaust works I think the headers are the only part that makes power to talk about, have seen 7-15 RWHP...

About the manufacturer web sites... we all know thay're trying to sell their product. BUT, important BUT, I don't think anybody just throw in a number they think looks good. They DO however test in VERY favorable conditions, cold oxygen rich room, #-kind dyno, perfect (probably (too?) lean tune) etc.

Just my .02 Euro Cents....

Thumbs up

Why? it was an offer i found that i thought would be good for others, plus it's not even my site that is selling it. Thats just where the information that I have for the purchase is located because i posted there. if this post was like the other one then I would think it'd be more along the line to be put there,... but whatever this aint my site maybe it would help more in another location,.. who knows,..

Long tube headers will give you slighlty more rwhp, more than shorties will in the already opened up '05 GT exhaust. From all the actual dynos I have seen on many forums, even the LT's with X-pipe won't give you more than 10-15 rwhp at best case scenario regarding a naturally aspirated setup.

That setup really pays dividends when supercharging. The high flow of gases takes to the headers and X-pipe with a passion and you get much higher payoffs.

It will yield a bit more aggressive sound in either case and I will one day do this but, for now the stock Fords are ok with the H-pipe. Has anybody seen the actual Ford exhaust collectors? They look more like shorty headers than typical exhaust manifolds.

Doesn't Brian have the shortys. There have been several people that put on the Long Tubes and added 18-20 hp.

The factory manifolds are very close to being headers already so you shouldn't get much from the shortys, the LTs are where it's at. I will be calling these guys tomorrow about the LTs with Titanium Coating which supposedly reduces underhood temps up to 50 degrees from stock, but that could also be marketing hype.

Always pay the extra for ceramic coating, you do not need the higher underhood temps especially saturating your "cold" air intake.

Default JBA Shorty Header Gasket

HELP!! My son just got a call from the shop - installing JBA ST's on an 05 GT. Mechanic (who is a perfectionist) said weld on one side is not allowing for a good seal - cannot be fixed with gasket.

He is recommending pulling them off and replacing with another brand. Also said this is not the first he has heard - he actually mentioned it might happen when we dropped the car off.

Any advice would be appreciated. Leave as is? Put stock back on and forget? Replace with higher precision brand?

Thanks for your help.

They are very nice!

Yes they'll fit perfectly with the catback system!

I don't think they are street legal in Cali, nothing is , and all manufaturers say their poducts are not... but, will the catted system go through testing, I think so...!?!

I called G Jr (owner of Kooks) and am waiting to hear back from him...

Jr called me back...

It was as I thought with the cats, they'll pass the sampling. Only problem would be if they do a compairson visual inspections. No idea how or why they would do that but the Kooks cats are smaller and further forward... so IF they look and IF they know where the stock cats should be and look like they COULD notice and make note of it has been "tampered" with...

Dunno, I have never done one of these in Cali but to me it sounds chanses to get busted are slim to none...?? What'cha Cali boys and gals thinking...??
