they brought concorde & spirit from AMC - they really don't follow any sort of naming traditions at DC.

If I had seen this thread prior I wouldn't have started another on the Challenger. Anyway for the price of an Original Hemi Challenger or Cuda you could buy a Shelby Stang Coupe & Convertible , Challenger Coupe & Convertible with enough leftover for a Z06 & Gas Money for 5 years.

The new Challenger is almost Spot on but you have to do it almost identical. The body wouldn't look right any other way. A Challenger was my first car ever in 79 & Have always had a soft spot for that body. In a perfect world a bunch of new muscle cars are made then a Gas crisis hits (worse than now if possible) & we pick up like new examples for peanuts LOL

Anyway DC is looking at 2007 as an 08 model & that's only if they find a plant for more LX platforms all of which are currently @ full capacity.....Lots of Stangs will be sold between now & then & Ford has 2 years to plan & improve the car to meet any 'challenge' from the 6.1 hemi.

Still there are enough Mopar fans that the car should sell regardless & it's retribution for that Charger abomination.

Cool pics! Hadn't seen those. My biggest concern with the Challenger is the Hemi. There doesn't seem to be much after market stuff for it like superchargers and such. It would be great to own one but it could get boring in the long run.
