I've read several stripe threads, but what I really want to know is where are you getting your stripes and who put them on.

I was at the Ford dealer today and they had a GT with what appears to be the Ford accessory stripes, just the hood, top and trunk. They had added $499 to the price of the car for the stripes.

I think they probably cost about $100 and the rest is labor and profit.

So, where do I get my black stripes for my Lime?

We have done 5 cars now... We charge anywhere from $1200 to $2000. depends on how you want them. $1200 is painting them all the way over with the rocker stripe but doesnt include clear coating the entire panels...just the stripe therefore leaving a edge like the vynle stripes...then $2000 would be clearing the entire panels...bumpers...hood...roof...deck lid...spoiler. labor isnt cheap theses days...

My dealership charged $400 for the vinyl stripes like you described, or $600 to cover the bumpers, too. I haven't had too much trouble with mine (after they got them on straight!), but the painted does probably look nicer. :o) Found the sets brand-new at a swap meet for $100. So if you trust yourself putting them on, vinyl are WAY cheaper.

You can get a variety of vinyl stripes at BobWhiteDecals.com They have a variety of Shelby Racing Stripes and Lower Rocker Panel Stripes.

I got my rocker panel stripes there because they had ones that matched what Ford offered on the V6 - Exterior Sport Package. The difference being Bob White offers about 30 different colors as opposed to Ford only offering 3.

As far as the Shelby (Lemans) Racing stripes are concerned. Shop around. I had mine painted and clearcoated for $940. The highest bid I got was 2K.
