Hey gang.......I just got back from the Shelby show in Nashville, Ind. What a fantastic show. There are so many great cars out there it boggles the mind. Lots of original Shelby mustangs from every year made and a bunch of original Cobras. 99% of them were trailered in of course.....but it was so kewl to see so many of the "real deals". But what surprised me most was all the custom mustangs. There are a lots of guys spending a ton of money and investing endless hours of labor on these cars of ours. I was so impressed. The quality of workmanship was simply incredibile.
A point of interest here.....last year at the car shows I attended, there were 1, 2 maybe 3 at most, 05s. The majority of them were nearly stock. Very few mods if any. Today.....there was 30 to 35 05/06s in every form from almost stock to full blown race cars. The custom work and the mods were "Top Quality". The care being given to custom cars these days is unsurpassed. Its very exciting to see our hobby as "alive" as it is today.
CDC was there with their 05 blue coupe and a mineral grey vert. We've all seen pics of the blue coupe but seeing it in person gives a whole new view. I got an up-close look at that glass top (both outside and inside the car) and that thing is pretty awesome.
Fang Products was also there and I got to see all their new mods upclose. They have some really neat stuff that changes the whole look of any new mustang. They have a couple different grille caps that go on over the existing stock grille. Then 2 different styles of hoods that match to the grille caps. the whole thing adds about 4 inches to the nose of the new mustangs. Was very interesting to see how these parts attach and how much they change the look of the front-end.
Then in back....they have a replacement trunk lid with a molded in ducktail and 2 end-caps that have a truely custom look. It was all very nicely done.
Just thought I'd pass this along to you guys. Was a great time today. Now you guys get your own cars done and get out there and show the world what ya got........Happy Mustanging.

Nice! I wanted to go, but ended up installing my stripe kit today. I'm glad the rain finally stopped here.........for now.
tom.....I hope the stripes came out ok. Ya missed a great show. Was a beautiful day in Brown County Park.
After i left the show....I drove around looking at some of the parked cars....I have never seen so many 05/06s in one place. And with so many different mods. Was great seeing what others are doing with their cars and getting some new ideals. I'll be there again next year.
