Question Shaker 1000 System. Anyone know where subs amplifier located?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any idea on where the actual amplifier for the subs is located, and/or if the output of the amp can be adjusted. I like the sound of the Shaker 1000, but I feel like the subs are overdriven, I prefer my bass to accentuate the music, not drown it out. I tried opening up the sub box to see if the amp was inside but I couldnt figure out how to open it. I removed the front screws on the subs and expected the subs to just pop off but they must be screwed on from inside too. Anyone have any experience with any of this?

Amps are behind the sub box. And no, they cannot be adjusted beyond what you can do from the head unit.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

This IntelliTXT stuff sucks.

Turn off the "Shaker" mode. I believe that it's the first option when you go through the options menu. The "Shaker" mode amplifies the signal to the rear subs beyond what it should.

Anyone else think it's a POS?? I would have opted for the 500 if I had to do it all over again.. I would've rather had the trunk space.

I got my car off the lot and got a good enough deal not to quibble over the stereo.

That said, I agree that I'd rather have the trunk space. I don't think the 1,000 system is really that much better than the 500. Aside from being fun to play with if I want to annoy the hell out of someone at a stop light or for impressing my co-worker's son (he's a good kid, 11 or 12, and I'm a bad influence having already suggested that he should ask for a Mustang when he turns 16) the 1,000 isn't useful for much.

The 1000 is useful for much, I actually enjoy my music and is leaps and bounds over the 500.

I like the 1000.. And once you change out the headunit to an aftermarket (if you desire) you can then tap into the sub amps with an Audiocontrol LC6 unit and adjust the amps gain up or down to your liking.. And yes, they can be turned up once you get a control unit hooked into them...There is much more Bass to be had with this method as well on the stock speakers for the 1000

How on earth can anyone ever need more bass than the 1,000? I can't see needing the 1,000 for any real music. I can see it if you listen to rap or some other similar pseudo-music, but otherwise it's way to easy to have too much bass with that system. Jazz, blues, rock, classical, etc don't need anywhere near the bass that the 1,000 is capable of generating in stock form.

That said, it's very good from a quality standpoint and unless you turn the bass up too much it stays very clear. It gets muddy if you push it, ugly muddy, but adjusted the way a sound tech would set it up it's exceptionally good for a factory setup.
