Default Motion Detection With Top Down

Anyone have a modification to make motion detectors work with top down. Saw one post where the owner says theirs has always worked with top down. Wonder if the convertible top down sensor was left unplugged. Anyone know where this sensor is located at telling alarm the top is down?

I don't have a schematic but there is a visible switch on the right side when the top is down. Don't know what it's for but start there with a bypass, what could it hurt.

Just out of curiosity, WHY would you want your interior motion sensors active with the top down? You would be asking for false alarms. That's why it is deactivated in the first place.

Its rare that I am in a parking lot with the top down, but it would be nice to have motion detection protecting the car when I do need to quickly run into a store. I am pretty anal about my Stang, I park a good hundred feet or more from the crowd. Should not have any innocent alarm set offs being that far away.
Motion detection seems be more fitting for a convertible with the top down than with it up.

A leaf or a blowing plastic bag will trigger it then though... I've heard of people with coupes arming the system with their windows down and setting off the alarm by merely walking next to the car. It would only be worse for a 'vert with the top down.
