I have not really been impressed with the new Shelby. I still think the GT is better looking. But, at least now it seems to have the potential to run with the competition.

yeah but why put all ya stock in mm&ff when the other 2 big mags put the car down...mm&ff's numbers arent nearly enough to make me say "wow this over weight and over priced car is worth it"...maybe when a few more mags back it up

If you can get the car for 40grand and it peforms in the Low 12s high 11s, then its well worth it, but thats not that case. Lets see what other magazines will say, or better yet...see on in action on the track

Bear in mind that R&T managed a 4.9 0-60 and a 13.5 1/4 with the Mustang GT, it's not like they don't know how to drive. R&T most likely had a very green car for their testing.

Other Mags will never get the times that Evan Smith got in the GT500 , other mags do not powershift and the drivers cant drag race stock cars as good as him !

Not sure if other Mags run at a drag strip , but MM&FF runs all the cars they test at a drag strip !
he had more fun in our favorite mustang gt....i kinda figured that would be the case...i drove a charger srt8 the other day...its not a bad car at all....but you definitely feel the weight...it feels more powerful than our mustang and i guess the weight accounts for why it felt slightly better on a turn...but my mustang feels so much faster...like it jumps to 60 while the charger runs to it. and the mustang sound....i would think it may feel sort of like that in a roundabout way for the gt500...if anyone thinks the weight shouldnt matter that much.....i felt it in my buddies charger big time
