The CDC ducktail does not cover the current holes on your trunk lid. I have a satin silver
stang and put the ducktail on it with the "nifty hole filler". It looked really bad. I had the holes filled and repainted ($300). The nice thing about the CDC spoiler is that you cover the 3rd brake light and that cleans up the end.
As for taking the center fake gas cap, it's no big deal. Some people slide dental floss in between the cap and the trunk lid. I used a hot air gun ( a blow dryer will do) and a plastic spatula. Just make sure you put some tape around the cap to protect the paint.
