Jetblack - Love the sound of the straight pipes!! What type of resonators did they use?
Instead of embedding the resonator in the exhaust system, like on the old muscle cars (imagine a short, fat cherry-bomb muffler shape) the last foot of the exhaust is the resonator chamber with the last neck-down cut off. Your muffler shop will have a selection for you to choose from. Larger is not necessarily better. I wanted it to be as close to my old JBA size as possible. The rolled part is smaller (thinner), which I don't like but really that's all Americans have to complain about
Also I had a problem with a loud rattle as the car warmed up. The exhaust gets longer as it gets hotter. Once warm, mine would get long enough to let one of the hangers touch the bracket that holds the contraption up. Back on the lift and the mechanic bent the hanger into a better position and the problem went away completely. When I heard it start up, I was sooo happy. Man that sounded good

This is the photo I have sitting around, of my JBAs. I will get a photo up close, of how the new ones look. The rolled part is thinner so the tubes look like they have thinner walls.

Sorry it took so long.
Here's a shot of them, all dirty. Snowed all day and it's 18 degrees now. 5 tonight (at five degrees, even the minivans have a CAI). Just after taking this pic and parking the car, I remembered I broke the little piece of 2# test fishing line I used to have on the tall gate that lets me open the gate from the inside.
Broke it this morning.
That means that I have now locked myself in the backyard twice.
Today.
And since this happens every year, one could say I am not quite as smart as say... a trained monkey. Untrained monkeys are reputed to be able to write the complete works of Shakespeare so I have really quite a long way to go to best even a run of the mill, unemployed monkey.
Lets see....It was 70+ degrees here today. It was cloudy and did rain a little, though. I went mountain biking after work in shorts and then drove home with the windows down blasting ZZ Top.
Did I mention there are houses for sale here?

Steamy humidity is what they have in Maryland too. Everytime I go back and visit, getting off the plane is an experience. Like walking into a sauna. I am taking off my Swandri jacket and losing the longsleeve shirt and Mom is worrying I will catch cold. In this heat?!?! It must be 40!!! God it's hot! I think I must be suffocating! I can't see my breath at all! It aint natural.

Too loud and raucous and not enuff sharp pitch. Not critical, it sounds great, but just not my style. That said it probably sounds even better in person.
