It is actually just like a 40 series flow. I bought them from Mustangs Unlimited. My friend sold them to me and expalined it to my like this. Flowmaster lost its patent on the 40 series muffler. They are going to start reproducing the old boxy style 40's. Anyway, the owner of Jones Exhaust tooled his shop with the exact same stuff that Flowmaster has. They are made exactly the same but are only about half the price. They are $44.95 dollars a piece. I welded them in myself. does anyone have a sound clip of the flowmaster axle back with a bassani catted x pipe and stock headers?
Welcome to AFM... There might be something out there on Youtube. Not sure you'd like a chambered muffler like the Flowmaster with an X-pipe. I ran that for awhile and it was very tinny (granted I also have long tube headers)
Totally inappropriate exhaust. I would hurt myself laughing. I like when the cameraman, sobbing with laughter, begs the driver to stop revving the engine.
I placed an order with Brenspeed on Saturday for some Flowmaster axle backs and Pypes O/R H pipe. I have been trying to decide what direction to go with the exhaust for a few months now. this thread has helped me a lot. the sound clips on Brenspeed helped too. the parts should arrive the end of next week. I am soooo looking forward to hearing the difference.
the stock exhaust has beens sounding better and better with age. but, it just needs more punch.
