I like it much better than the scoop you had on the old hood. They did a nice job.

Sweet looking hood! My personal preference would be to paint the screens semi-gloss black...and I really hate that "white" stuff on the ground.

actually i just dropped the screens off to get them painted... going with a more flat black to match the chin spoiler and the V6 rocker panels...

I'll post some pics as soon as I get them back...

Hey John is this thread a plug for MRT???

Seems that you were questioned on the YMR web site about the same things you are saying here. YMR - MRT Cherry Hood Installed! (56K warning!)

The hood does look good but I think that if your pluging it for MRT that you be up front and let the readers know.

I hate to see the forums used in a way that is not up front and honest.

I think I answered both Steve and your question in that very thread that you linked too...

I have posted this same thread in probably a dozen forums... I've got 100% positive feedback... except for you and Steve....

This is not a "plug" any more than anyone else who posts a positive experience with an aftermarket product.. Have you ever posted a single thread about anything you've installed??? hmmm...

Oh, my here is you PLUGGING Zex! YMR - ZEX Installed and Tested

I don't know what your's and Steve problem is... I BOUGHT and PAID for an aftermarket product. I had a very positive experience and posted some pictures... I was then REQUESTED to post MORE pictures which I did!

If I was plugging the product I would have said "WOW, the MRT hood is the GREATEST! It reduced my 1/4 ET by a whole second! My MPG went up 3 miles!!! HURRY and buy one now at the low introductory rate of $XXX...."

Hmmm... maybe you and Steve have something personal against MRT or me... or are trying to market your own hood....

So you know any product that I have written a thread on is a product that I bought and paid for from a supplier. I was not given a discount from the manufacture. As for the ZEX system I wrote about I bought this product on EBay and was not given anything from ZEX to write a thread.

If you were to check a little deeper you will find I have written up many items that I have installed including SCT Tuners, MMR products, Web Electric, Red Line, Raceline Wheels, ETC. but none of them ever gave me any special discount that any other buyer would not get.

If you are being given a discount from the maker of the product that you are writing up and you are saying all of the nice things it does then it makes the thread an ad for that product.

Its great that you installed the hood and it looks nice but if you are given a discount that the regular Mustang owner would not get then you need to be up front. Were you not asked the cost by "PTLM4LIFE" " ditto! functional?? cost? where'd you get it?" I have not seen any reply from you on this question???

I find it strange that you do not say anything about how well the fit and finish of the hood is over the other fiberglass hoods. You did make a point of this on the YMR thread until it was brought up that you may be plugging a product for MRT. Would other people who bought the hood say the same thing?

When other Mustang owners come to these sites they are hoping to get real world facts and not something said by someone who is sided with the product because the are promoted by them.

Anything I have written be it good or bad about a product I have used or installed is the truth. I am not owing to any company for the product I use.

No one else here has seen it this way except for you bringing it from YMR. If you have a problem with the way he's showing off his hood, maybe take it to PM. If you think he's advertising, report it to a moderator.

I've gotten discounts on numerous mods and have plugged the company for great cust svc. And I have paid premium prices for mods and have plugged the companies for great cust svc.

So fishingjts...What does MRT say about the hood struts? Thought they were a no no with fiberglass hoods. And I did read the thread on YMR, but to ask again, did the hood fit prefect or did fiberglass work need to be performed? I think it looks great!!!
