what do you guys think is a better all around car, a 2007 Roush stage 3 or 2007 Shelby Gt500, forget about prcing, just performance, handling, and looks. Also what do you think is a better investment in the long run.
investment its the shelby, especially if you just put it in the garage forever. But for me the shelby. I love the look of the front end. you also have the larger CI engin.

I agree, proven Shelby re-sales of the vintage vehicles will lead to you believe that will be the case in the future. ROUSH, SALEEN and others have yet to reach that point in history to command ana 'appreciated' value.
Based on just performance, handling and looks I would go with the Roush. The Shelby has way to much plastic on it for me with that flat front splitter. The Roush interior although not to my tastes is alot better then the GT 500. I like the Roush spoiler alot better, the Shelby ducktail looks pretty week in my opinion. Handling oh yeah the Roush will hand it to a Shelby on the road course no doubt in my mind, its alot stiffer. Straight line performance? the Shelby is about 500lbs heavier then the Roush, but it has more ponies. I would say pretty dam close in a drag race. You might go faster in the Shelby but the Roush will be more fun to drive. Value? I think they build about 2000 Roush's per year, so long term I would think it will hold better value. But if you are shopping to make it a hanger queen your buying for the wrong reason.
And then the mad Englishman goes and tests the Roush against....a Lotus Exige...probably one of the best handling motors of all time....anything to make the Mustang look bad.
Here is what happened.
ENJOY...this piece of dirt cheap Yankee power nearly turns the trick..and, lets face it, like Matthew McConnaughey would say, you probably get more chicks driving the mustangYouTube - Broadcast Yourself.
The shelby, With 1000 dollars worth or intake, pulley and tuning youll make about 500 horse to the wheels and your torque will be over 500 from 2200 to 6000

Clarkson's bias against american cars is disgusting, but his lack of knowledge is worse, since he puts himself forward as an expert.
Let me quote the idiot Clarkson:
"What Shelby do is fit the standard 4.6 liter V8 with a supercharger, only it's bigger than Roushes..."The idiot says the Shelby is powered by a supercharged 4.6. "
The fool doesn't even bother to find out that the Shelby has an iron block 5.4 liter, 32 valve, supercharged engine and that's why it's more powerful and heavier.
But what can you expect from a guy who declared the Lotus:
"A triumph of British engineering!" neatly glossing over the Toyota powerplant.

Yes, I picked that up right away too. Also, is it fair to run a vert against a coupe, particularly when he beats up the Shelby for its poor handling. Common knowledge that verts don't handle as well as coupes.
the roush blows. the car puts down like 30 more rwhp, and my car is NA. wtf is with that?!?! even the 427R roush sucks. shelby owns the roush big time. i dont get why people buy them, that is the worst blower for these cars. its like not even worth having a blower for the amount of power it adds.
