I purchased a Preditor form an Ebay store on a Best offer deal for $325 from Arizona Off Road Performance). I had also inquired about a CAI as well as the tuner. I asked the guy to try and expedite the order and if there was any extra charges, send me an invoice (Paypal) and I would gladly pay it. The guy responded with "I shipped the same day your Paypal posted". This was on a Wednesday, should have been there by Sat. no sweat. Didn't get there until the following Wednesday. I emailed the guy ( I was really P!ssed) because I offerd to pay for 2nd day and the guy said it would get it by Sat. I emailed him and told him BSing grown boys that had money to spend with him was not a good business ethic.
He emailed me back and said that he was really sorry but it was a UPS screw up, but still he would make it right with me. I asked what he could do for me on a CAI. He only sold Airaid and said he would give it to me for cost and have it next day aired to me. I don't know what cost was be he only charged me $204. Listed for around $300.

Since he was doing this out of the goodness of his heart, I told him just to ship it ground and I would pay shipping. He said okay, I got the CAI the next day and an invoice for $204.......He went above and beyond and I rewarded him with more puchases (for my sons 95 V-6 Stang.

THis is what makes repeat customers.......too bad Ford doesn't have this type of business ethic

I've ordered from many over the past several months,no MAJOR complaints from any of them--including Blue Oval
Minor complaints-Summit:ordered poly eng/tranny mounts for '95,got ones for '65-returned no problem but when got new ones they were for '65 also, reordered to get sooner and returned wrong ones
Brenspeed:no problem, but a point to ponder-My son ordered 3.90 gears and a ZEX NO2 kit one weekend,I ordered 3.73 rebuild kit for the '95 the next weekend..mine came in several days b4 his

overall I'd say all I've dealt with care about you and their reputation and do pretty well

This is to warn any prospective Mustang buyers in my area. I got the worst treatment ever by a dealer in my 63 years, from Hansel Ford in Santa Rosa CA. I will try and keep it short. I called the internet Sales Manager, and asked if they would meet internet prices (Carsdirect.com) he said yes. My wife and I went down the next day to order what we wanted (2/12/07). The order was placed, we put a $500 deposit down, and left satisfied. He quoted a 4-6 week delivery. He said he rarely saw an order go past 6 weeks maybe twice he saw 8 weeks. At this time we knew nothing of priority numbers. The very first time I called to try to get an update, about two weeks later, he said he had bad news. The delivery would be 10-12 weeks, due to 08 allocations????, and tooling changes on the line???? I called a few more times without a response. Well on 3/8 I get a call from him saying he has found what we want (except the wheels) at another dealer and can get it in two days. I say well get it. He calls 3/9 and says it will be in at 7:00 p.m., I tell him we well be down 3/10 to take delivery. It was obvious that they didn't want us to look too closely at it, they had it parked back in a shaded driveway next to a building. We walk up and the first thing I notice is the front bumper has two large screw holes drilled in it for the license bracket, and it looks like they used a butter knife as a bit. Even some of the threads were hanging out, and the bumper was dimpled outward around the holes. Same condition in the rear. Not only that but they made absolutely no effort to clean the car. I asked him where the car came from, and he says Fremont CA (about sixty miles away). The odometer has 132 Mi. on it. It dosen't take a genious to figure out they were trying to pawn a dealer demo off on us. I said I am not taking this car, cancel my order, and give me back my deposit. This isn't the worst of the horrendous story. So we travel 15 mi. north to W.C. Sanderson Ford in Healdsburg, and talk to a guy who makes us fell like we are family. We tell him our experience, and he says, those are the kind that are giving Ford a bad name. We ask him aout priority numbers. Ours was 99. He says there is not one that high, it would never have been built. He said the highest he has ever seen is 80, and that is a dealer order for their lot. So those scumbags at Hansel knew all along that there was virtually no order, and they let us sit for 3 weeks thinking we had a car ordered, and then they try to sell us a demo. as new. I have never delt with sleazebags like this before. All they wanted to do was move their inventory, and make money like greedy pigs. Needless to say we ordered from Sanderson, and we have a priority of 10.

For those who live in Florida.. on my 18th bday, i went with my father 2 go look/buy a mustang for me. i found a 2007 Mustang Heat edition.. that they wanted 2 charge me $25,000.. what a rip.. considering its a basic v6.. with a roush wing, hoodscoop, n a lil numbered plate on the dash.. ooh n a lil side stripe thing through the side doors.. they didnt wanna talk any numbers so we left..(Tropical Ford) a few days later.. im driving downtown in my truck(2004 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab V6) with my dad, n i see all these mustangs on the front line, so we decide to stop.. well what do yah know, there was a few heat editions on the lot.. not the exact color, but had the 5spd, black leather, shaker 500, all that happy stuff.. well we start dealing n all that stuff.. they wanted to give me 11,000 dollars for my truck that had 15,000 miles on it.. it had never been wrecked or anything. finally they brought up the value on my trade, so now its gettin more serious.. later that week we ended up taking it home.. well we had looked at like 5 of them.. n well they were all the same.. so we figured y check under the hood once again(stupid mistake) well my dad clearly asks the GM n the salesrep is this car equipped w/ ABS n TCS.. they said yes.. so we end up taking it home, n after me puttin only 100miles on it.. my dad is sittin at the dinner table.. n sumthing hits him sayin sumthings not right.. so he asks me for the keys n turns it on.. n then realizes theres no TCS button on the dash.. nor is there a lil light that says it on startup.. we get into the car n drive back to the Dealership.. they said theyd make it right.. so they "locate this special edition" n said itll b there tues.. tuesday comes around, no car.. so finally wednesday its here.. im all happy.. i drive up there w/ my parents to go switch out the cars.. n well what do u kno.. he takes a stock v6.. w/ the 16inch wheels.. black cushion seats.. n the 5spd.. n says.. heres ur car.. i look at him.. n say.. thats not what i had originally bought.. n then he plays dumb..even tho its the same guy that sold me the first one, n he knew his stuff about it a few days back... so then he says.. ill take the wheels.. spoiler, n hood off the Heat mustang n put it on this car.. i tell him no, i can simply buy a stripped mustang n do that myself.. i paid for a special edition numbered car.. n thats what i want.. so then they say fine, ill look once again even tho we cant probably find anymore around Florida.. we all got a certain amount and thats it.. so a few days go buy.. well the same damn guy that said they cnt get anymore.. claims he found the EXACT same car.. but the catch was.."Im not gonna tell my guys to go drive it down here if you dnt want it, u gotta tell me right now if u want it.." i look at him n say, u gotta b kiddin me.. u F***ed up my last 2 orders.. what makes u think id actually trust u guys?? so my dad asks them 2 print out the build sheet off the computer.. they print it out, n its a totally diff car once again.. so finally my dads about 2 kill this guy, n he says go get the keys 2 my tradein n ill drive the mustnag back up here in a few minutes.. were done here.. no deal.. so this all happened at (Sunstate Ford)..Noone ever should buy a car there, they try 2 screw u every way possible.. even my neighbor, hes 20.. hes got a 04 Boss Mustang.. they wanted 2 give him 9k for it.. n its in mint condition.... everyone i know that has gone there has gotten ripped off.. so finally, i looked on the internet about Mullinax Ford over in Apopka..id always c their commercials n it looked like a great place to buy a car, they advertise all this hasslefree car buying.. low prices.. etc..so one saturday morning, i go.. n its EXACTLY what they say it is on the TV commercials.. no stress, they dont force u into anything.. they actually care about you and they arent out to screw you.. they actually showed us big rebates that most dealerships dont show you so they can pocket that money.. So i ended up buying my 2006 Mustang GT brand new from Mullinax Ford in Apopka.. n since they treated my family soo nice, my Dad went back a lil less than a month later and bought a 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauwer **spelling**.. if your looking for a ford, go there.. you wont be dissapointed.. Kudos to Mullinax for being the BEST.. if u ever do go there n need a great guy 2 help yah out.. ask for Anthony..

Great customer service at stangsuspensions.com out of CA. These guys had great knowledge of hier product.

Also at mcrparts.com in New England. Tony drives a mustang, so the real interest is there.

Okay, this vendor may have been mentioned before, but my kudos fo rhte week goes to Summit Racing. I ordered a set of Moroso hood pins form them. When the pins came in, they looked funny to me. The scuff plates were just plain washers, they did not come with the screws to attach the plates to the hood, nor did the plates even have the holes for the screws. I called to inquire, prepared to purhcase another set of pins altogether. The customer service tech, resolved the issue before I even asked for anything, they sent me a different set of hood pins..a complete set (hood pins, scuff plates and retaining pins)...for free. So again, Kudos to Summit Racing!

As for bad vendors/dealers....I am spreading the word as fast as I can to anyone and everyone who will listen (and for those in my area)...DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VACAVILLE FORD!!!

This dealer is notorious for waiting 3-7 months before paying off your trade-in. The funny thing is, they will gladly resell your trade-in long befor ethey pay it off (i.e. resell the trade-in in a month or so, bt take 5-7 months befor epaying off the trade-in). If this dealer ever owes you money (i.e. overpayment on trade-in, overpayment of DMV fees, whatever), beware is all I can say. They like to give you a check several months after it should have been given. The check will be back dated 4-5 months, but will have "check valid for 90 days only" printed on the bototm of the check. If you inquire, you get a classic run-around, and then they tell you "it is just money."

So, this is just a heads up to anyone in the Northern Calfiornia Area (and anyone thinking of coming to this area to purchase a car)...do not do business with Vacaville Ford.

BUYER BEWARE: If you purchase anything from KOOKS CUSTOM HEADERS out of Bayshore, NY, keep your fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong with their product. I purchased their complete header sysem with cats for my 06 GT. I'm very pleased with the product, great low-mid-high range acceleration. A few months later in Feb 07, I began hearing some rattling coming from the exhaust system and after having it looked at, I was told something inside the cats had come loose, probably from a bad weld. MD Motorsports, whom I bought them thru and did the install, contacted Kooks seeking a replacement cat under their warranty and was told by their GM, George Rumore, no problem, one is on the way. Well here it is Apr 07 and still no cat. First, after a month had gone by, George tells me there was a problem with his supplier, that they had run into a problem getting whats called "mineral" something they use to coat the inside of the cats. Then I'm told that Kooks orders in bulk, thousands at a time and once the supplier got caught up on his back orders, he'd get the cat shipped out right a way. Last conversation we (MD Motorsports) had with Kooks was 2 weeks ago, now Kooks is wanting a purchase order submitted by MD to justify them sending a new cat, like they've never done business with MD Motorsports before...duh!!! Anyway, the cat is supposed to be arriving, so we're being told, on or about Apr 19, 2007, approximately 2.5 months since first contact with Kooks. The product I have no complaints about, but their customer service needs lots of work. Probably the worst customer service I've had to deal with. It's one thing if you're having problems getting the product to satisfy the customer, it's another to stall or lie about what your say you're gonna do. I have another car that will eventually get headers and x-pipe and you can be sure it wont be from Kooks.

Sorry to hear about your problem. MD is going to install some headers for me too, but I went with American Racing. Their cats are supposed to be superior to everything else out there so hopefully I won't have the problem you did. Did you have MD tune it for you and if so, what were your dyno numbers?

Well I got my Mustang slightly used from Sayville Ford over here on Long Island, they were very professional and curtious. I actually like their service department too. I was very happy with the deal they gave me also. They knew I was selling cars at the time so they couldn't really B.S me. Very friendly people in my opinion. For the aftermarket, I bought most of my mods from Brenspeed.com Those guys are awesome and really know their stuff. Great site, great people, I couldn't be happier I got my tires from Tirerack.com *Another great site with great statistics on all of the tires, very friendly as well. I had my mods and even my tires installed at MustangMagic out in Deer Park NY, it may be Babylon I forget, those towns border one another. Great place and they specifically work on Mustang's and really know their stuff! Thanks for sharing stl...excellent thread

Ken and Brandon at MD both have told me about American Racing and that may be the direction I'll go on my other stang (vert). As I mentioned, I like the results I'm getting from Kooks (in the hardtop), but in IMO a customer is someone you take care of during the sale and most importantly after the sale. Kooks failed to do that part. Oh-well that's the price of doing business.

I lose a lot of RWHP compared to the manuals. Just had the vert mod'd with TI-SCT Dyno tune, UD's and elec. water pump. RWHP was 271. Nice increase from stock of 245 +-. Taking in the hardtop on 4/30, to have the new cat ( I hope) installed and then have it dyno'd again. Had a BBK TB put on back in Feb, at the time the cat went bad, so we haven't been able to dyno it yet to get the TB just right. Hardtop has Ti-SCT Tune, UD's, Elec. water pump, BBK TB, Kooks LT, X-Pipe and 3.73 gearing. Once we get to dyno it again, it'll be interesting to see just what the LT's add to the RWHP, being thats really the only thing my vert doesnt have yet. Plan on getting the gearing changed next month on the vert to 3.73's as well, MD has a heck of good price on the FRPP gears. Was gonna try for a SC on the vert but just to $$ for me. Can take half the SC cost and get all the NA mod's needed and have a nice running pony. I'm very pleased with the mods on the hardtop, MD did all the work except the gearing and Champion Ford did that, everything else is all MD. Good bunch of guys.

Yeah, MD does have real good pricing on FRPP gears...I have 4.10s on order. Ask Brandon about the Mikronite treatment for the gears...that's what's holding me up right now...Mikronite has become so popular that wait times have increased from just about a week to over a month in some cases just to get your gears back from the treatment vendor. You can find info on the treatment here: http://www.mikronite.com/flashRoot.asp
The usual dyno results from the treatment are:
Dyno 2 - Performed by JDM Engineering

Vehicle Tested:
1. 2005 Mustang GT

Increase of 7 - 9 Rear Wheel HP and 6 - 10 Ft Lbs Torque increase

My gears are being treated here: http://www.vincihighperformance.com/...IN%20PAGE.HTML

Bradon said that MD might eventually get the equipment to start the Mikronite process on site so that would be very nice.
