Yeah, MD does have real good pricing on FRPP gears...I have 4.10s on order. Ask Brandon about the Mikronite treatment for the gears...that's what's holding me up right now...Mikronite has become so popular that wait times have increased from just about a week to over a month in some cases just to get your gears back from the treatment vendor. You can find info on the treatment here: http://www.mikronite.com/flashRoot.asp
The usual dyno results from the treatment are: Dyno 2 - Performed by JDM Engineering
Vehicle Tested:
1. 2005 Mustang GT
Increase of 7 - 9 Rear Wheel HP and 6 - 10 Ft Lbs Torque increase
Bradon said that MD might eventually get the equipment to start the Mikronite process on site so that would be very nice.
I have never heard of the Mikronite process, but after reading about it, sounds positive and not to costly. You say the wait is about a month now huh? Be about right, looking at later half of May to have gears done. May have to give Brandon a call and have him order the gears and then ship them out. Did you order your gears thru MD and did they send them to Vinci HP for you as well? You say you're running the 4.10's, any reservations about going with them? Originally I didn't want to give up to much top end by going with the 4.10's, but someone mentioned that unless you plan on going top end a lot, going with the 4.10's is not a bad idea if you're looking for off the line and short distance acceleration. I've only had the cars up to 125 a few times, playing with other cars on the highway, may have to consider the 4.10's for the vert, since I do more playing on city streets, short distance stuff. Hmm, probably wouldn't be a bad decision, since the other car has 3.73's, this will give me a chance to see just how much difference the 4.10's will make.
You might not have to wait that long. Brandon had said that he was going to ship a batch of gears out for treatment when mine went out so if you're interested just ask him what he has coming back...don't know what ratios. You might get lucky and get one of those. Yeah, I ordered the gears thru MD. I actually suggested he use Vinci since they were using Liberty Gears and the wait time was so long. Liberty is probably one of the major places performing this treatment right now so I thought I would get them faster by going to Vinci, but the wait is on now...been a couple of weeks so far. I was on the fence for awhile between 3.73 and 4.10s since I wasn't sure if I was going to super charge or not. I made the decision to stay NA so I'm going 4.10.
I already have 3.55s so going to 3.73 wasn't going to do much. From what I've heard if you ever plan to take it to the strip and stay with mild bolt ons (no SC) then 4.10s are the way to go since you will be close to redline in 4th at the end of the run. Even if you never go to the strip, they will pull very hard and should be a lot of fun to drive (just ask the guys here that have them).
I do all city driving (work is 5 miles from the house) so I wasn't too worried about fuel mileage, besides I have heard that if you do all city that your fuel mileage could actually increase a little with 4.10s since you don't get in the throttle as hard even if you are reving higher...don't know if that will work for me because I'll probably keep my foot in it.
The Mikronite process should help slightly with the fuel mileage loss...anything that picks up 10 hp just by eliminating parasitic drag should get you better mileage (look at what UDPs do), but the higher revs will more than offset that...just won't be as bad.
I should have a big bill coming next month what with the gears, headers, tune and I've got some subframe connectors for them to weld
on for me. Then I should be done...famous last words, right?

know what you mean about big bills, just finishing getting the vert mod'd and now I think I will go with the 4.10's on it vs. the 3.73's. Also looking at the FRPP Performance Pkg, MD has some very competitive prices, I can get the whole pkg from them, including the tower brace that i don't need <have the Strange Development Strut Brace on both cars> for less than if I bought just the individual parts I need from a dealer. Hope to have everything done by time the Cincy Get Together rolls around in Sept. Last but not least, debating still on whether to add the Zex Nitrous Kit. Ken's very conservative with the psi setup and tune on them which is good, keeps the risk of damaging the engine at a minimum and Brandon told me last week, of all they've installed not a single problem reported. May go for it on the hardtop, since it's got the headers n x-pipe, plus it's the one I play with most on the streets.
I would like to recommend a dealer in Nor. Cal. I just purchased a '07 GT, Prem. Cpe. from W.C. Sanderson Ford in Healdsburg, CA. This was after getting horrendous treatment 14 miles away in Santa Rosa. (see previous post). I was treated absolutely great at this dealership. From placing the order to delivery these folks are great, never ever acting like your typical sales people. They checked in with a progress report on my order once a week, and made sure we were informed, at every step of the process. What really blew my mind is when we were doing all of the final paper work, and finances they included the extra $645 rebate for the Auto. Trans. The way I understood that rebate from the Ford site is that you had to buy a unit from dealer inventory to get it. So they gave us a $1645 rebate on an ordered unit. There was no pressure for the extended warranty, or paint protection, one no, and that ended it. I think this was an excellent experience, and price. '07 GT Prem Cpe., Redfire, Auto., IUP, Appearance Pkg., 18" Polished Alum. Whls. Price $29,035.00 O.T.D. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone in Nor. Cal.
+ MD, always professional and knowledgeble! Meet prices if they can. Ti, great products at great prices. CS 2nd to none! Fox Lake, slow but superior. I rather wait and have my $8K motor heads combo hold up! PH, again knowlegeble. CHE parts are great! BMR, never bought anything from them but nice ppl and liked. Superchargers Online, knowledgeble and I think any piece you can imagine in stock!
- GMS, all talk. Bad CS. Lies. Sub par parts. RPM, all talk. Bad CS. Lies. Slooooow... MRR, poor return policy. Summit, S&H fee... JEGs, can you say BACKORDER.

ordered my hurst short throw shifter and t-handle on the 25 of april. will be here on the 27 of april. jim at jeg's great knew what he was doing even hooked me up with a coupon. can't wait till it arrives for install!!!!!!!!!.
Well, the Stang was originally purchased from Kearney Mesa Ford in San Diego, CA. As we all know, I got it from a little old lady a little while later. Anyway, 8 months earlier, I visited said dealership with my 2002 Celica GT, considering a trade-in. After the dealer excessively low-balled me ($7K for a car in perfect condition and with >27K miles on it), I wanted to leave. I didn't want to be rude, so I listened to what he had to say. After I still declined the car, he got kinda upset and told me I was stupid to not buy the $30K car. WHAT? First, and no offense to anyone, but I don't like the Redfire color and I certainly don't like it with a beige interior. Second, who is this chump to call me stupid not to buy this car? I wasn't going to die if I didn't get it. I got out of there and have boycotted them ever since. I was unaware of where my car had come from when I bought it. That MIGHT have deterred me from getting it. Eh, well, ok, it wouldn't have. $8K under sticker will do that for you, but you get the point. Now Bob Baker Ford has excellent service, friendly people and no one getting all up in my grill about mods. They are the only ones who do the routine maint. on my car. I'd do it myself, but I don't have a way of disposing of oil.
Another reason to hate the local Ford service dept. I took my car in for a oil change a couple of days ago(not because I can't do it myself, but for warranty concerns) and when I washed it today I noticed my rocker moulding on the drivers side in front of the rear wheel was cracked!! So I'm off to the dealer in the morning to see how they'll handle it.
Hey Cd... Not to start a problem but that sure looks like a lift arm bite to me. Did that use a 2 or 4 post lift to get your car in the air or did they use a drive on lift?

Wow talk about great customer service, my experiance.....
In the past I purchased CDC products like the famous Chin Spoiler, Light Bar, Appearance Hood Pins, Rear Trunk Lid Panel, because of the high quality product and great support I have always received.
So I was looking for a GT Upper / Lower Grille that they carry (the 3 piece one that accomidates the fogs), plus the lower Billet grille.
The only issue is, it only comes in Polished Aluminum and I was looking for a powder coated black. So I called them to ask them if they have or plan to make this model in black. The young lady I spoke to, said, let me check and get back to you. She called me back (within 15 mins) and said, I have some one from (i believe manufacturing or engineering). I explained what I was looking for, and they said ok, we will see if we can do with your request.
Would you believe a few days later, I get an email for this gal (don't wanna mention her name without her permission "but she is a sweet heart asset to CDC), stating to give her a call that she had the grille done in black, packed, sitting on her desk, and ready to be ship. I called her this morning, made the payment, and out to shipping it went.
I can say GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE they had delivered to me, and i highly recommend them for your auto needs.
CDC - Keep up the great work.
BTW: CDC told me that I am the only person to have this model Grille In BLACK, and if they add this to their product line, Mine is #1.

Dallas Mustang built my Q400 and I can say with out a shadow of a doubt they are the best aftermarket and tuner guys I've dealt with period. I drove nothing but Vettes for 15 years and have dealt with numerous tuners with the 5 Vettes I had. Can't touch the guys at Dallas Mustang.
Here are a few shots of my 05 Q400. Go to the Dallas Mustang webpage, scroll down to customer's rides and click on the black over red Mustang(mine)...Tell me what you think: http://www.dallasmustang.com
